Gostou Lovely little site showers and toilets were very clean. Quite and peaceful with a nice pub a few minutes walk.

Gostou Lovely site with a very peaceful pond with ducks. Owner was very helpful. Very quiet. Great size pitches with good toilet and showers.

Não gostou Nothing tondo with the site but getting a cab anywhere was very difficult and the local pub has kinda closed down so it wasn't really practical to walk anywhere. Great site if you want to stay put and chill.

Gostou Good for rail links into Cambridge.
Lake area really nice.

Não gostou A lot of residential caravans and they are scruffy looking units too.
Bathrooms in run down ports cabins and looks like it’s not going to change anytime soon, dirty showers and leaking toilet in the men’s.
Very close pitches fire break gaps not being adhered to.
So much potential here going to waste, it could be a stunning site.
And all this could be yours for £30 a night plus £12 for electricity.

Gostou Nothing

Não gostou Traffic noise from A10.Awful during day.
Small uneven pitches.
Grass uncut.
Showers and toilets tiny ( old construction site huts) and not very clean.
Water taps for washing up basically non-existent.Very poor pressure and have to use one hand to keep tap on whilst trying to wash up with other.
Temperature of water only luke warm.
A lot of long term pitches very unkempt.Dont think grass gets cut whilst occupied which leads to a very untidy grubby scene.

Plenty to do in the area that you can walk to straight from the campsite.

Não gostou Couple of people a bit rowdy on the site, but to be fair they packed up and left around 11pm. Just not used to that on a campsite!

Gostou Great place to visit Cambridge. Take the path right across from the campground, and you’ll be at the station in less than 15 minutes—and then in Cambridge in another 15 minutes. On the way to the station, you’ll pass a pub with a coffee stand in the parking lot. Friendly welcome at the campground. Lovely owners who want to develop the campsite further. Simple but perfectly adequate restroom facilities. Nice shower (no tokens required). After we left, we drove past the Hot Numbers Coffee roastery (which is also a 10-minute walk away). Delicious coffee and cake (plus breakfast and lunch options) with a lovely spot to sit inside or outside.

Não gostou It’s easy to miss the entrance on the Foxton side of the campground. However, just past that, there’s a side road near a few businesses where you can easily turn around. You can then slow down more easily by driving along the median and pull into the campground entrance.

Gostou Lovely owners very helpful. We only stayed one night because we were passing through. It wasn’t very busy so we had ample space.

Não gostou One star deducted because the only place we could find to walk the dogs was across a main road. There wasn’t loads of traffic but it was still a bit unnerving.

Gostou Very peaceful and quiet location, making it a nice place to relax and unwind. The owners were friendly and helpful during our interactions and were kind enough to assist us by phone and FaceTime when we had difficulty locating the site on arrival. The shower facilities had reliable hot water and both the showers and toilets were generally clean. The site also felt safe and secure overall. There is a village park nearby which is useful for families with children

Não gostou The site is much smaller than expected and pitches can feel quite close together, reducing privacy. During our stay there did not always appear to be someone available on site to direct new arrivals, which resulted in some campers pitching wherever space was available and the site feeling a little disorganised at times. Arrival instructions could also be clearer.

The toilet facilities would benefit from more regular checks. During our two-night stay, one of the toilets ran out of toilet roll and it had still not been replenished by the following day. Families with children should also be aware that the nearby park requires crossing a fairly busy road.
