If you're looking for a whole lot of luxury for your glamping break, take a look at The Beeches – this Shropshire hideaway is full of high-quality touches and offers a raft of extras for a truly indulgent break. Up at the northern end of the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, about 25 minutes’ drive from Shrewsbury, Mary’s Croft is a private lodge that’s been done up with all the trappings of a boutique hotel – think freestanding copper bath, complimentary bathrobes and, of course, the all-important hot tub just outside. It’s a completely self-contained unit with ensuite shower room, a mini kitchen (with fridge, cooker, kettle and toaster) and a private outdoor area (with a firepit, a hot tub and a barbecue hut for the sole use of Mary's Croft guests) so you’ll be able to spend your break in blissful seclusion should you wish. It’s well worth having a chat with your hosts Mary and Neil, though – they’re full of handy info such as where to find the best walking trails or golf courses (Neil has tried most of them…) The pair are busily developing their property with things like an orchard, veg plots and a flock of chickens, and ex-butcher Neil is very happy to chat to guests about firepit cookery and let them sample whatever he’s been working on in his smoker. If you've got an outing planned (such as a restaurant visit), they're happy to offer a lift if available. And a final cherry on top? You can make your break even more memorable by adding all sorts of extras, including breakfast baskets, flowers and bottles of Champagne…

Gostou What a stay!
My husband and I stayed in Mary’s Croft as a birthday treat and were not disappointed.
It’s absolutely stunning and exceptionally quiet and well equipped.
Unfortunately we didn’t make the most of all the facilities available to us as there was so much to see and do in Shrewsbury, much of it recommended by Neil and Michelle in the welcome pack. Definitely worth a stay. Michelle was wonderful from start to finish, great communication too. So If you’re looking for a quiet and private retreat- this is it.
