Keep up the activity levels with fishing and clay shooting adventures at Lakeside Sporting Ltd (10 minutes), or whizz around the inflatable, floating obstacle course at Holme Pierrepont Country Park, National Water Sports Centre (15 minutes), while there are merry-go-rounds and boat rides at Twinlakes Park (25 minutes). For more sedate pursuits, wander the forested avenues from Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre (45 minutes) or pick seasonal bouquets at Wysall Flower Farm (10 minutes). There are deer herds to spot at Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park (20 minutes), while the petting zoo at White Post Farm (35 minutes) offers encounters with cows, meerkats and reptiles.
