Set right on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds National Landscape, The Grange Certificated Location is a peaceful touring site available only for adult members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. It’s set in a rural location on a working farm, and accessed via a quiet country lane a couple of minutes’ drive from the main A157 Louth to Lincoln road. With a backdrop of a gracious Georgian-era house, sheltered by tall trees and close to a wildlife pond, the small number of well-maintained grass pitches have optional electric hook-ups and space for awnings. Simple facilities include a toilet and shower. You might like to have a mooch around the farm trail to spy some of the local wildlife, try trout fishing (there’s an extra charge) at the lake or simply sit at the water’s edge and watch the sun go down. If you’re looking for something a bit more energetic, play a game of tennis on the hard court. The site owners are also happy to organise chalk-stream fishing, horse riding and walking tours of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Gostou Loved every single minute . Peaceful and beautiful location and a great place to relax and unwind. Loved the farm trail and not too far to walk to the local pub. Site was perfect and had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Gostou Lovely, peaceful site in a beautiful area.
Well maintained. Nice owner.
We didn’t use the shower/loo.
A pleasant nature walk around the farm.
Not much in the area but we chose it so that we could do some cycling which it was perfect for.

Não gostou Not the fault of the owner but the people staying in the self catering accommodation were rather noisy at night.

Do gerente: Thank goodness this is very rare and it was a particularly noisy (but lovely) family in the hot tub at their cottage. Generally this does not spoil the peace and tranquillity here at The Grange. Another time and we could have a quiet word :)

Gostou Fabulous small site that we really can't fault. This was our first time in Lincolnshire and after our experience here we will be back and stopping at The Grange.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, even to the point of calling us before we left to let us know that they would be at a wedding but to make ourselves at home and pick a pitch we liked.

There is a lovely walk around the farm and the farm airstrip is great when they flying their microlights from it.

It is lovely and quiet, with just the sound of birdsong often being the background sounds.

Não gostou Not really a dislike but this is a working farm and there will be farm traffic occasionally going to and from the barns next to the caravan pitches, and while this did not cause any problems at all, they do start work early sometimes, one day at about 5:30 in the morning. This is necessary of course, and I'm just mentioning it so no-one is surprised when woken early by a tractor.

Do gerente: I think this early start was when the crops were sprayed in May, which has to be done when there is no wind in Spring. Luckily it is only a few times a year but thankyou for your consideration. There maybe an odd later night in harvest where tractors go past but mostly it remains a quiet site :)

Gostou Beautiful quiet site, 5 lovely pitches, the loo and shower was great. Lots of walks from the site, village shop and local pub 0.7m away (only know as walked it in the 30 degrees 🤣). Fabulous place we will be back. Thank you!

Being on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, this site is heaven for walkers, who can follow the Viking Way, discover the wildflower meadows and chalk escarpments of Red Hill Nature Reserve (20 minutes’ drive) or hike sections of the Lindsey Trail between Market Rasen (15 minutes) and Horncastle (25 minutes). More urban days out can be spent exploring the historic city of Lincoln (half an hour), dominated by its medieval castle and Gothic-era cathedral. Learn more about the regional backstory at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, and don’t miss the interactive exhibits and fine artworks at the contemporary Lincoln Museum. Fans of World War II heritage can pay their respects in front of the landmark memorial at International Bomber Command Centre (half an hour), or take a guided tour of military aircraft at the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre (35 minutes). There are Lancaster bombers on display at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (40 minutes), which also has a schedule of flying events throughout the year.
