Caistor Lakes Leisure Park is a multi-award-winning adults-only site set within seven scenic acres of leisure park. On the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, it's just the spot for some peace, quiet and relaxation. So, take your pick from the touring pitches which welcome caravans, motorhomes or campervans. The amenities on site include top-notch and sparklingly clean shower and toilet facilities (with separate male and female areas and full disabled access), wifi and access to freshwater fill-ups and wastewater and chemical disposal points. Fancy a spot of fishing? No problem. There are two well-stocked fishing lakes, the Heron and Foundry pools, which both have good stock of fish including carp, ide, tench, bream, crucian carp, barbel and roach. And there’s much to please away from the water, too – the surrounding countryside is packed with places to walk or cycle, and a drive of less than half an hour will get you to the coast for some sea air. Once all that's left you peckish, settle in for some downtime in The Ugly Duckling restaurant which is in a peaceful setting overlooking the lakes and gardens. It’s open throughout the week for everything from light bites to full meals and their ever-popular Sunday roasts. It has a pet-friendly area for all fur babies to have a rest.

Gostou We received a lovely welcome with all details very well explained on arrival. The site is really well laid out, with each pitch having a tidy and trimmed grassed area which was much appreciated. The facilities are second to none. My husband popped to the gents and I asked his opinion - he can be somewhat particular, but his score was 11 out of 10 - praise indeed! He did mention that every tiny thing than could have been polished, was gleaming. He certainly didn't understate, as the ladies facilities were superbly clean, polished and smelt beautiful! The large showers are not timed and can be adjusted in terms of water power and temperature, and I must add that the background music played was right up my street! Plenty of hooks are available to hang towels and clothes, and a small seat, on the other side of a shower curtain, plus there's a double corner shelf to place shampoo, conditioner etc. within the shower. The on site restaurant and bar welcomed both us and our visiting family, and happily catered to our son's unusual request for a cortado coffee. Seating in and out was very comfortable. Although we didn't eat there, the menu looked varied, appetising and reasonably priced. Many of our site neighbours took advantage of the fishing facilities very early in the morning, but they didn't disturb us at all. It's obvious that tremendous efforts have been made to offer the most beautiful surroundings, with fabulous garden ornamentation, an amazing carp pool in front of the restaurant and superb facilities throughout. This is a small adult only site that specifically caters for specialist anglers, however, we didn't feel at all out of place, and would highly recommend Caistor Lakes. Value for money is excellent and our dog was happy here too - and he even became tolerant of the resident duck families. Thank you for a truly enjoyable stay!

Gostou Staff are all superb, friendly welcoming and helpful. Food in the ugly duckling is all good quality and very well prepared. Site security is good. Facilities are kept spotlessly clean.

Gostou I have been to this excellent site on many occasions. It ticks all the boxes that ensure a quiet and peaceful stay. The pitches are level and well tended. The showers and toilets are spotless and warm. The showers are powerful and spacious. The mega bonus is The Ugly Duckling Bistro onsite. The food is exceptional and staff warm and friendly. I will be returning again.

Caistor Lakes Leisure Park's local town of Caistor is a market town on the edge of the Wolds with a history going back a couple of thousand years to Roman times. Main sights to see are the Georgian and Victorian architecture, the Scheduled Ancient Monument of the remaining fragments of Roman wall, and the market square with over 50 listed buildings. Fellow market town Market Rasen is 15 minutes' drive away and visited for its racecourse, more Georgian and Victorian architecture, and market days on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If you're up for ambling, an easy four-mile circular walk starts and ends in Caistor via Nettleton, or you could hike the 25 miles of the Caistor Challenge, wander the Wolds free range, or tackle some of the 147 miles of the Viking Way passing through Caistor on its route from Humber Bridge to Oakham.
