Tetbury Camping at The Holford Arms

Gostou: Easy to find just off the A433 past the arboretum. Friendly reception with easy to understand plan of site. Secluded pitches for campervans. Power and wifi on the pitch. Hot water for showers and washing up. Interesting grounds - there's a fig vine in the poly tunnel ! Loved the whole natural vibe. Also the food in the Holford Arms is next level ! Defo need to eat there at least one night !

Gostou: Good pitches, Pub on site serving great food and Drinks. Close to the Cotswolds, nearby road not too busy.

Não gostou: Not easy to find, but most of all, poor facilities. A whole Campsite on 5 loos and 3 showers? Plus, showers/sinks etc we’re without warm water for the whole time we stayed. There is an Event location on the site, so Parties are likely. We had a party on the first night, all well behaved (which can be different), but guests are pulling in all evening with their cars in front of the pitches (electric). Most of all, facilities were not cleaned even after the party, only after my 2nd claim. Seemed the people only took take of the Pub and not of the Campsite..

Gostou: Orchard camping. Nice walks to rear of site. Quiet. Bit basic toilet block and washing up area, but fine for me. Just don't expect refinement. Hard standing car park if the ground is wet. Book in at the pub for map and directions into site. I've highlighted on the map the route to drive into site from front of the pub

Não gostou: Out door water tap area, a bit over grown and messy.

Gostou: Lovely location, well established site, rural bohemian feel. Staff helpful and friendly. Pub food and ambience very good. No child policy so quiet and laid back.

Não gostou: No dedicated chemical toilet disposal point. Water tap was difficult to access with a motorhome.

Gostou: Great area, loved the arboretum and local walks. Pitches a decent size and pub has good food and ale.

Não gostou: Showers are a bit erratic and we couldn’t get to the water tap - too overgrown. The grass strimming in the morning was a bit insensitive.

Gostou: Lovely camp site, well marked pitches, toilet and shower block, and washing up area all perfectly good. The pub itself was excellent, really great food, lovely staff and a really warm welcome. Sitting by the woodburner on the sofa after our evening meal was great. The outside areas was nice too, loads of room, outdoor fire-pit as well.

Não gostou: Not all the toilet/shower units have locks on the doors.

Gostou: Mature shrubs around the camp ground.

Não gostou: Unfortunately, this campsite fell short of expectations. Difficulty finding the entrance due to poor signage and no provided map made navigation harder than it needed to be. Confusing check-in policy in the pub, arrivals after 4pm yet no vehicle movements after 4pm. Go figure. Despite higher prices, facilities felt inadequate, with showers lacking temperature control, hooks for clothing, ventilation or basic hygiene. Excessive noise from children went unchecked, disrupting the supposed adult-only atmosphere (child using car horn repeatedly). Overall, despite the lovely grounds this campsite is clearly an afterthought for the pub. More care and attention is needed to warrant higher prices and to make it a place I’d return to. I can see why it wasn’t fully booked on the sunny bank holiday now.

Gostou: Welcoming staff at the pub, nice food & lovely outdoor area.

Não gostou: Washroom facilities were awful, there were no hot water for showers, Definitely not returning…….

Gostou: Very quiet, level site, lots of trees and orchards. Electric hookup. The pub is very nice with great food offered in the evenings. Very handy for the National Arboretum.

Não gostou: Lack of water taps for filling the van. Didn't seem to be any chemical toilet emptying facilities. Bit of an "end of season" feel. Nothing else.

Gostou: Nice orchard with full of fruits.

Não gostou: Long queue (for drinks/ meals by wedding attendees) at check in which was at the pub’s beer taps. Forgot to ask for the wi-if password. Water is not always warm in the shower. Annoying level of clubmusic was on all night long in a nearby location. Only the pouring rain hushed it at 5:45am.
