Once you’re all pitched up, you can head straight in for a pint or a wine – this park is rather handily tagged onto a cosy pub. The Hunters Inn, on the edge of Longdon village, is a handy four miles from the historic town of Tewkesbury around half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham, and also within easy reach of several of the area’s most famed historic attractions, including Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucester Cathedral and Hartlebury Castle. The Malvern Hills are also a cinch to get to for walks and big bike rides, and the water meadow at Severn Ham, just outside Tewkesbury, is smashing for a bit of wildlife spotting and birdwatching. When you’re done with days of Worcestershire sightseeing, return back to base for a barbecue. However, if you’d rather have someone else do the cooking, then the pub serves some pretty great locally sourced food instead. There’s a nice sprinkling of entertainment here too: if you’re there for the pub’s monthly quiz, you can exercise some brain cells for a crack at winning the Hunters’ pub quiz crown.

Gostou Camping site was good with easy access to water, electric etc. We only used 50% of tge £5 on electricity card over 3 nights which was excellent value.

Shower and toilets were okay and clean but tired as has been reported before. Could see another block being constructed.
We ate at the pub one night with food and service excellent

Gostou Stayed here for 2 nights,small campsite with a pub on site ,friendly helpful staff,food at the pub was great,building new toilets/showers so next year should be even better.

Gostou very friendly and welcoming staff, looked after us right from the word go and until we left the pub.

We booked literally last minute and arrived after 5.30, all settled within 15/20 minutes.
Food was very good and very quick service, portion size was good but a bit to large for us :-)
Atmosphere lovely.
Site very pretty with lights on etc, they are expanding and making improvements.

All in all a lovely find and I would 100% go back and stay longer next time.

Gostou The pitches are well spaced out with electric and water close by. There is very good reception for mobile phones, onboard WiFi and tv. It appears that they are in the process of constructing new showers and toilets, which I presume will be fully up and running within a few months.
The most impressive part of staying here is the quality of the food produced in the pub. Without doubt this establishment has the best restaurant we have experienced at any of the places we have stayed at around the UK. This includes the price charged for a true adult portion. Wonderful, and thanks and congratulations to the people who work in their kitchen. Also a friendly and helpful reception from the staff working behind the bar who provided good service and a cheerful chat.

Gostou Excellent curry at the pub. We had a take out as it was very busy.

Não gostou Water was tepid in the washing up area. Showers/toilets clean but v basic and in need of a refurb.

Gostou level pitchs, free wifi , pub attached , gate secured by combination lock , free hot shower, the toilet block portacabin is being replaced by a new one which should be built by next year, it helps if you are a dog lover

Não gostou some muted road noise from the B4211 , the optional £5/£10 EHU is via meter which is reset by pub staff so try not to run out in the middle of the night

Gostou Well maintained quiet relaxing site with spacious pitches. Booked a table at the pub on Saturday evening and wasn't disappointed. Excellent, good value for money food and friendly staff.

Gostou Lovely flat countryside site behind a great traditional pub.Had a very warm welcome and enjoyed their hospitality.Food was fantastic both times we ate there especially the Sunday carvery!

Over in Tewkesbury, begin with an amble alongside the River Severn or opt for a boat trip along the Avon; then head to the town’s most famed landmark, the 900-year-old Tewkesbury Abbey, and have yourself a heritage wander around its walking trails. The Pepperpot in Upton is also a topping option as a historic highlight, as are Hartlebury Castle and the cathedrals at Worcester and Gloucester, all within easy driving distance. The area plays host to lots of festivals and events throughout the year too; if you’re in the area in July, make sure you check out Tewkesbury’s famed Medieval Festival, where thousands from all over get together for Europe’s biggest annual medieval reenactment: let the merriment commence and the mead flow forth. Elsewhere, this top Worcestershire spot is a most handy locale for outdoorsy and active adventures: there’s a golf course in Tewkesbury and several horse riding schools are in the area too, plus walking and cycling are popular around the Malvern Hills National Landscape, a short drive away. Severn Ham is also a splendid place for a walk and a bit of wildlife watching: be sure to take a pair of binoculars or even just your camera phone, because you’ll likely want to snap all the critters and birdlife you’ll find around this wild water meadow.
