Não gostou Never saw the owners, so anyone could really have just turned up and camped without paying. This is an uneven, unmowed, sloping farmers field. The main issue is that there's an industrial plant pretty much next door which seems to start up in the evenings. It is very noisy throughout the night, and it was a good job I'd taken earplugs. I can only guess the other reviews are either fake reviews, or people are hard of hearing. If I hadn't brought earplugs it would have been an awful, awful night, but it was bad enough with them in.

Gostou Peaceful campsite. We enjoyed the one night camp. Clean and a great base for local walks. 20 mins walk to Darley Bridge with great food at the Three Stags Head pub. Would 100% recommend

Gostou Small and quiet camp site in a nice area! We pitched up and walked into Matlock through a trail and it took us just under 2 hours.
No shower but we knew that so that's why we only stayed one night. The portaloo's were clean and had loo roll but I definitely don't like to use them. With a better toilet option, I would stay again for sure (although I know not easy!!)
The noise that someone previously mentioned is negligible and didn't disturb us at all.

Gostou No too busy, the site has toilets and is clean and tidy.

Owners were there and were very friendly and helpful.

Gostou Yes loved it very peaceful site back to basics close to Matlock. Can get uber and takeaway to site if wanted. Good value for money. Brilliant hosts.

Não gostou Portaloos but they weren’t terrible. Signal on site was poor on our phones but we managed sometimes you need a break.

Gostou Just stayed with my wife and two gran kids lovely site I seen in a other review about the factory its about a mile down the road and you can't see it from site so doesn't effect the tranquility of the site beautiful and quiet well it was till my gran kids turned up!! . They loved it! big field where the kids can play and are safe surrounded by mature trees. Yes its basic but what do you need its clean and today and we were greated by the owners who let us pitch were we wanted. Owners lovely in a great location with two pubs down the road and a co-op.please give it a go. Great walks around the area and 10 mins from bakewell and 5 mins to matlock will definitely be staying again Highy recommended.

Gostou Lovely, peaceful, simple quiet, rural. We had a lovely stay and visited the nearby Flying Childers pub.

Não gostou Next to a huge battery recycling factory with noise and sir pollution
Party happening somewhere up the road so loud music all night
Maybe one off but disturbing
And no shower which we knew but still a disadvantage and portable chemical toilets just not very nice
Not even nice hill view
Just a field surrounded by trees
