Likte A Sunday arrival, we had the site pretty much to ourselves and chose a pitch under some trees which wasn’t the best choice considering the night rainfall. But, we had a great view down the valley to the distant Over Haddon hills. The facilities were very good, clean toilets, showers and social areas, walkers and muddy dogs hadn’t messed the place up. Ample hot water and everything worked. The grass areas were mowed and tidy. I met the owner and had a long conversation about the farms history and plans for the future.
Our pitch was not far from the access point to the Lathkildale public footpath that ran along the lip of the gorge, we chose to explore towards Over Haddon, spectacular views down the Dale. Good value for money, and will certainly book again sometime soon. For a meal out try the quirky Cock and Pullet at Sheldon, and a beer, try the Thornbridge brewery in Bakewell.
Likte ikke Nothing, it was as expected and described.
