Legg til bedriftsinformasjonRight in the Baronnies Provençales Natural Regional Park, Camping des Catoyes’ green and stupendously scenic setting is sure to have you in a spin (it’s recommended to squint when you first start spying its pics), and its proximity to outdoorsy pursuits isn’t half bad either.
Activities available around the locale are pretty excellent too, with hiking, mountain biking, geocaching and rock climbing all within easy reach, as well as donkey rides nearby for the amusement of littler people and sky-high hot air balloon rides and paraglides for the steeliest of souls.
The on-site snack bar is open daily during high season (and on Friday and Saturday nights the rest of the year round), with morsels ranging from salads to pizzas, chips and sausages flying out of the hatch to feed famished guests, who can scoff their spoils around the bar or in the handsome converted-barn communal space and picnic tables.
The small shop is where you can procure local and regional products including honey, terrines, cheeses and locally grown fruits and veggies, and freshly baked breads and croissants can be ordered over at reception for next-morning delivery to rouse even the wooziest of waker uppers.
Other facilities include a toilet and shower block with a baby changing area, as well as a laundry room with a coin-operated washing machine.

As you’re right among the splendiferous wooded lands and slopes of the Baronnies Provençales Natural Regional Park, this is a splendid spot for an outdoorsy sojourn; adrenalised pursuits such as hot air ballooning and paragliding available nearby, as well as donkey rides for the kidlets; just ask the site’s friendly team for all the info you need on local activity organisers.
If you’re a clambering sort, more than 500 routes graded anywhere between levels 3 and 8c lie around several popular rock climbing haunts near Orpierre, less than five minutes’ drive away, and a whole heap of hiking and cycling trails across lavender fields, over wooded slopes and through shaded forests network the locale, with the GR946 a short drive away from Camping Des Catoyes.
For swims and splashes, an outdoor public pool (open during July and August) is also less than 10 minutes’ drive away in Orpierre, and the Riou reservoir is another excellent spot, 10 minutes further afield; for sploshing of a less sedentary nature, the rapids of the Buech stream are a good place to start.
