Just on the edge of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, family-oriented Redford Caravan Park is the sort of place where you’ll arrive on site and your offspring may well disappear until it’s time for tea – there’s just so much to do (safely) around the place. Smashing amenities for kids include two play areas with swings and slides, and an adventure park with climbing frames and rope swings. Get together with all the family to enjoy a picnic by the river, while keeping an eye out for bug hotels, bird baths and bird feeders, all attracting wildlife to the park. On chillier days, the games room should take care of any bored teens as it has a pool table, a 2p coin pusher arcade machine, a claw grab machine and slot machines. Best of all, the heated swimming pool has a retractable cover, so it’s an outdoor pool in warmer months and an indoor one for the rest of year. Any family dogs are welcome to join your Pembrokeshire adventuring too; on site there’s a doggy play park where they can run free and chase around the obstacle course, and there are several dog-friendly beaches within 15 minutes’ drive. Practical amenities on site include the launderette with washing machine and tumble dryer, a loo block and electric hook-ups on the landscaped pitches. There is wifi but as the site's in a rural area, this (along with phone signal) can't be guaranteed.

Likte: Beautiful park, quiet and well equipped for young and older children with a games room and swimming pool. Well kept, clean and scenic with lots of beautifully kept hedges and flowers. 100 would recommend and revisit. And the bonus was communication from the park, including a welcome bag with some goodies! Nice touch and so thoughtful, thank you

Likte ikke: Lighting at night near our pitch to toilet ( right next to us as asked) either wasn't working or not there, no big game changer just had to use torches etc.

Likte: Kids loved the swimming pool, even the pitch toilet! Showers in the main campsite are super warm and spacious. The weather wasn't on our side sadly and our own tent didn't quite hold up. But a lovely quiet campsite overall.

Likte ikke: Road been the campsite and caravan was too busy for the kids to pass without adults.

Likte: Great site with lots to do for kids. There is a heated pool which was great, a games room and two parks which we sadly didn't get time to go to but great if you want something on site. The club house was open on the Saturday night and had a bouncy castle for the kids which they loved! Staff were very friendly and check in was straight forward and simple. Toilet blocks right by our pitch which were kept lovely and clean.

Likte ikke: The shower block didn't have a hairdryer so something to keep in mind when you're packing and no food served on site but a gentlemen who is a regular to the site told us about a place called the station house which was about 10 mins in the car and served lovely, well priced pub grub. There is WiFi on site but it's not great, phone service isn't the best either but that didn't bother us and I think it's just down to the remoteness of the location.

Likte ikke: Could not go for walks as the road outside campsite had no footpaths, club house advertised but only open at weekend even during high season, only one shower in facility

There are lots of beautiful walks around Pembrokeshire and although we would love to install a footpath on the road, unfortunately this is something we cannot control as a business. However we are on the bus route which stops outside the main gates and will take you to many local areas including Narberth, Tenby and Haverfordwest. I'm sorry if the club was not open during your stay, the club is open Friday 7pm Saturday and Sunday at 6pm and Monday from 7pm throughout the holidays, the club will be closed from September for the rest of the season. We are a little confused with your comment of only one shower? you stayed on the touring pitches where the washrooms have a total of 4 showers, 2 in the ladies, 1 in the gents and 1 in the disabled / family room and have been awarded platinum loo of the year. We hope our reply helps and hope you will visit us again. Thank you Redford team

Likte: Peaceful site even though there was a steady turn around of tourers. Fantastic swimming pool, park for kids and even a club house with reasonably priced drinks. Pitch size was OK, smaller than what we were used to. Laundrette had a large washing machine and separate tumble drier. Games room next to it. Easy access to and from site. Toilets and shower were clean.

Likte ikke: The amount of speed ramps on the site. Only 1 shower. You cannot regulate the temperature of the shower, it was to hot for our teenagers. You have a set amount of electric, if it runs out, there is no emergency credit that you can press. Because some touring pitches are among seasonal pitches, they think they have the right to come onto your pitch, very rude. Right next to a train line, very noisy tracks.

With regards to the speed bumps we have them installed for safety to slow people down. At the start of every booking we ensure we top the electric with amply electric for your stay, in the unlikely event that you do run out of electric we top it up free of charge there is no limit on the amount of electric a customer has. The train track is over 200m away from the touring pitches, its not a busy line, the trains run roughly every hour from about 7am until 11pm and in all honesty we very rarely hear them but are sorry if they disturbed you during your stay. Kids clamouring for the beach? Quiet Coppet Hall beach is the spot for rockpooling and building castles in the sand, while the popular sands at Saundersfoot beach (both 15 minutes’ drive) are backed by cafés and fish and chip shops. Time spent in colourful seaside Tenby (20 minutes) gives visitors the option of going on mackerel fishing trips and boat cruises to Caldey Island, or you can linger on beaches with views to monumental Goskar Rock and the town’s 12th-century castle. And of course, you can tire yourselves out on bracing walks and cycle rides with ocean views in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (10 minutes). When only cuddling animals will do, donkeys, piglets and lambs (in spring) await at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (10 minutes), where there’s also a penguin pool and vintage fairground. Kids get to meet red pandas, tigers and gibbons at Manor Wildlife Park (20 minutes) when playing mini-keepers for the day, and if more adrenaline-inducing days out are required, you can always make for the rollercoasters at Oakwood Theme Park (10 minutes).
