Ever dreamt of having access to a private beach? Then you'll need to book a break at Bach Wen. On the Gwynedd coast just outside the village of Clynnog-Fawr, this secluded seaside spot will make that idea a reality. It’s just the place for relaxing holidays, with plenty of space for all guests to spread out, and a sizeable paddock for kids and dogs to scamper about. And yes indeed, its own beach area too – simply follow the stream to get to the sands for days of swimming, kayaking, fishing or hikes along the coast path. Spot the sea while on site too if you prefer to stay put – the views are particularly stunning at sunset, and even better again with a cold beer or glass of wine in hand from the on-site bar (you’ll just need to arrange this a little bit in advance to make sure someone’s around to do the pouring honours). Those of you who’d rather pick up your own food and potions, there’s a little supermarket five minutes’ walk away in the village. Those cold drinks may well be much welcomed by those aiming to pack plenty of activity into their break here – this location at the top of the Llŷn Peninsula means that there’s much to explore nearby. Head into the nearby Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park for hikes, mountain biking and an adventure park, soak up the history of Caernarfon, 20 minutes’ drive away, or bounce around the numerous beaches of the peninsula.

Likte Beautiful site....I stopped in Dandelion pod with my dog and it was well equipped with amazing views! Pod is located just a short walk from shower block and toilets but completely private. Lovely little pathway down to the beach. There was wood available for the stove and fire pit but I didnt need it as the pod was cosy enough. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Overall its tranquil and peaceful!

Likte Such a beautiful place! The glamping pods are magical with views of the sea and very private. The one I stayed in did need some. Also some noises outside the pod during the night which is expected due to location as it was likely some sort of wildlife. I didn’t see anyone whilst I was there until I was leaving due to the time of year and it was lovely! The toilets and showers are great and they are currently rebuilding the front decking area. The beach is huge and no one for miles and miles with a small village a 10 minute drive away for shops and takeaways. Such a magical place I booked again whilst I was there for the summer time!

Likte We absolutely loved bach wen, stunning scenery. Next to the beach. .... Kids loved this. Lovely little play area for the kids and fantastic space for them to run around.

The chap who greeted us and shown us to out pitch was friendly and welcoming.
Totally amazing location.

Likte ikke So I don't like to leave negative comments and honestly I don't really even complain, however our last night was very noisy as there was a large gathering with music blasting out until 2:30/3:00am which left us incredibly tired the next day. We chose this place as the reviews were great and a 10pm -10am quiet time was mentioned in the description.
We had four peaceful nights it's just a shame our last night was so rowdy and loud. Other than that gripe a total 10/10

Likte Dandelion hut did not disappoint, we also had the weather on our side 🥵 ☀️ everywhere was spotless. Absolute heaven! Beach within a stones throw away if you swim a few feet out you’d find sand under your feet. We spent most of our stay paddle boarding. We will definitely be returning 100%

It’s quiet at the nearby Trefor beach (10 minutes' drive) and that’s part of what makes it such a fine spot for sea fishing. You might get hooked on all sorts of watersports locally too, particularly in Abersoch (half an hour), where surfing and wakeboarding are some of the ways to get your hair wet, or the 'Whistling Sands' at Porthor beach (45 minutes), which has fab surfing conditions. Of course, there are all sorts of other activities all around Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park (20 minutes), including watersports and climbing as well as hilly hikes. When you’re looking for a way to wind things down, perhaps with a lighter walk, you could take in the turrets of Caernarfon Castle (20 minutes) or the smaller Bryn Bras Castle (20 minutes). Back to the coast, though… fishing villages are a fancy way to spend the way pottering around the shore. Porthdinllaen (20 minutes) has a beach and the popular Tŷ Coch Inn, while Portmeirion (half an hour) is modelled on Italian architecture, with subtropical gardens and a splendid spa, shops and eateries.
