Burrowhead Holiday Village

Likte Location is spectacular. The site is relaxed and quiet. The touring sites vary and although there appears to be only one toilet block to cover a large area, there was enough space. The clubhouse is well equipped, pub, cafe shop and large function room.
The scenery is stunning, with views of the isle of man and the lake District.
There's a pool and other facilities.

Likte ikke WiFi was disappointing. When we wanted to chill back at Motorhome child wanted to watch his program on Netflix but he couldn’t as you couldn’t get phone service and there free WiFi wasn’t up to scratch to be able to connect . Electric hook up the electricity kept tripping and pitches weren’t level ground as it was grass so it was a bit bumpy with all the vehicles going over it . Shop could do with stocking some basics like eggs ,sausages etc not everyone comes with food and not a great deal on offer in cafe

Likte Quiet camp. Great for the kids with things for them to do but without being overwhelming. Great place for a week away and we enjoyed ourselves. Would like to definitely go bacm

We are sorry that the timings for the cafe did not meet your requirements. Our small team tries to offer opening times that suit all.

The changing rooms have showers which users can use to wash themselves prior to entering & leaving the pool, and we ask all users to remove footwear on entry.

Likte The location, the tidiness, the reception staff, the locals down in Isle of Whithorn at the Pier. Swimming pool, lifeguard was a very friendly young man. The sauna and hot tub. The views. The play park, very peaceful.

Likte Clean, lots to do, beautiful surroundings.

Likte ikke We were in area B and no toilet block there. Unfortunately it was extremely windy and this area is not sheltered at all so had to leave early. We didn't have much space to set up as the pitch beside us had 3 tents and 4 cars, and we were between this and a small caravan. We heard the family discussing how they had been urinating at the back of their tent until we arrived.

Our headland location does make us suspectable to the weather conditions and it was windy as you visited us at the tailend of Storm Floris.

Unfortunately your stay conincided with Storm Floris and we did experience very strong winds along with most of the west of Scotland.
It is good to read that despite this you liked our park, facilties & staff.

Perhaps you would consider visiting us again in more clement weather.

Likte Very polite and helpful staff. The bar staff remembered our drinks order, so they got them ready when they saw us coming. Great quiet site with plenty of pitches. Good clean toilet and shower blocks.
Easy access to the waste disposal.
If you want a relaxing place to stay and not go anywhere then this is great. Not ideal if you like exploring the major towns and cities.

Likte ikke The cafe meals where good but not the price. no menu so didn't know the cost before having the food.
Some touring caravan pitches were a bit uneven.
Location was not what we expected, had to travel 30 minutes before you could go anywhere as it is a bit remote.

Likte Staff helpful, outdoor pool cool but good, park and soft play good also. I really enjoyed my stay.

Also pitch was beside to fenced of tackle building but I was close to the toilet like I asked for so it balanced out.

As we are in such a remote location, we are reliant on our own private water supply, which does require boiling prior to comsumption. Buying bottled water is an alternative that some of our guests prefer.

There are limited pitches near to our toilet block and currently there is a storm damaged building which requires demoliting during the quiet season. We had to allocate your pitch here as was your request.
