Likte The location was great. The staff were honestly so lovely and helpful. The washing up facilities etc were all absolutely fine. As were the toilets. You know it's going to be basic amenities at the point of booking but they are absolutely fine.

Likte ikke The showers, i know facilities were advertised as basic but the showers were not very nice at all. They could really do with a bit of a spruce up. Also the end one just did not get hot at all.
The electric pitches are also quite squished in. Especially as we were a large motorhome. Once our neighbours pitched up it felt rather cosy. They were nice and level though

Likte The site is remote to avoid road or town noise but close enough to pop to the shops via car.

The facilities are well maintained and clean.

Likte Staff lovely very chilled could have a camp fire just left you alone unless you needed anything very helpful showers could do with a little upgrade but OK kitchen facility brilliant idea will definitely stay again access to water and all amenities great again staff very helpful and just nice

Likte ikke Unfortunately I had some trouble with some teenage boys that were staying on the site. Due to the unisex toilets (which didnt really bother me until this incident) young lads were shouting nasty comments from outside when I was in the toilet by myself. This was intimidating and not something that I would expect from a campsite. The security man was nearby so I told him what had happened and he promptly went to speak to the young lads and with their parents.

This did ruin my experience at this campsite as I felt uncomfortable after this and made my husband accompany me to the toilet as I did not want to go alone. My husband also found that a large group of adults were stood outside the toilet at one point making a lot of noise and blocking him from exiting. Very odd that this would be the place to convene. It was clear that there is a lot of people living in old caravans down one side of the site although they did not approach us, we did feel uneasy staying here and will not be returning. I do find it strange that a campsite needs security and wonder what else goes on to warrant it? Never had this at any other site we have stayed on before.

Fra bestyreren: The site has security as he is sia badged and does matinace work grounds work the badge is a bonus as like you said you had an issue so security dealt with it that's the reason nothing bad just to sort situations out however big or small he even came down and told you he sorted it you and husband said thank you and as he has the badge he may as well use it in the industry we are in we cant say where people stand and chat like outside toilets etc so that's unfair and many a campsite u see people chatting in toilets this isn't bad and I'm sure excuse me would of stopped them or they would of moved it's just a general area as for the young lads that were on holiday with there family we can't controll what other kids do but the situation u had and reported was dealt with it
I am sorry you feel this way about our site we host a site what guests do is not down to us and we don't controll people when they have checked in only for situations that should be happening or like shouting at you in toilets loud music after quiet etc
You praise security then ask why and every camp site I been to has security now a day's or some form of we get positives for this .
Sorry to hear you were upset you should of come and told us before leaving to resolve as we could of sorted it rather than the bad review but we did all we could to help and assist u

Likte Great campsite, well organized, all facilities you could need, great showers and toilets, very clean.

Likte Very quite, facilities were all ok, showers hot and kitchen cleaning area all fine, good info on arrival.

Likte ikke Shower block needs to be updated but was ok for just the one night that we stayed.

Likte Was lovely site with a play park for the children.
Staff were very welcoming. Secure site with locked gate so felt safe.

Likte ikke The only down side that when I went with my children there didn’t seam to be any other children for them to play with but that was just down to the time of my visit.

Likte Easy to find the campsite.
Friendly, smooth and straight forward check in.
Flat spacious pitches.
Very clean toilets, showers and wash up areas.
Lovely dark skies for star gazing.
Super lovely staff, who couldn't do enough to ensure a great stay.

Likte ikke It's simply a matter of personal preference...I dislike unisex showers and toilets.

There are only 3 toilet cubicles, with the gent's urinals behind a curtain at the end of a small cabin. Not enough facilities for the size of the site if there's a good occupancy. The space between the cubicle doors and the sinks is narrow. if you are large of stature, you can't get past anyone stood at the sinks.

As a female staying in a tent, the use of the facilities is vital. Getting ready in the mornings, (teeth, hair, make up etc) was a challenge. I'm a private person and the small, narrow toilet cabin with all 3 cubicles taken by males enjoying their lengthy morning ablutions was an experience!. The sounds, grunts and odours were quite a shock to the senses!

The human body has it's functions and there's no shame in that...I just don't want to participate in other people's private moments.

Also, I personally felt like I couldn't use the showers, this is no fault of the site. Again, just personal preference. I wasn't comfortable in unisex facilities.

Having said all that, the facilities were very clean and campers all respected the communal areas.

We will definitely return, but will bring our own toilet, shower and pop up tent for them.
