Moss Rose Campsite

Good pitch size and well spaced out.
Nice relaxing atmosphere around the site,with honesty box shack for any forgotten supplies. Clean toilets and shower would highly recommend

Likte: Our likes:
- John and Joe were really friendly and helpful. Really lovely people
- how every pitch is kept separated with long grass. It gives a more natural feel and keeps your pitch more private too.
- John told us wildflower seeds had been spread in the long grass which is lovely. We saw lots of butterflies and birds.
- the shower and toilets were kept really clean and were well looked after. This extends outwards - everywhere was clean!
- the honesty shacks! We didn't use them as we only came for one night, but if we were staying longer we'd have undoubtedly used them. I stuck my head into them just to be nosy and they were adorable and really well thought out. You could buy lots of basics as well as some treats, there was even a coffee machine and a freezer with ice lollies.
- everything is clearly labelled when using the facilities (e.g. drinking water! I've been to sites where it hasn't said and I've questioned which taps I should be using, not here!)
- microwave, charging point and fridge available (we didn't use but nice touch! If we stayed longer the fridge would have been really valuable)
- somewhere to wash up.
- lovely peaceful area. The facilities were a bit hidden so you didn't have the loos etc getting in the way of the view.

It's clear that Kelly, John and Joe have really thought everything through on the site. It's truly a lovely place and we will be returning.

Likte ikke: This isn't a dislike about the campsite because we genuinely have no complaints, but feel as though it's worth flagging as someone behind us obviously did the same thing (we saw them drive onto the campsite about ten minutes after us!) Put in the right postcode and Google still wanted to send us down a no access private road! This isn't the fault of Moss Rose obviously but in case it helps anyone, the way we got around it ended up being just typing 'Pilling' into Google Maps, going to Pilling and then typing in the postcode again. Depending where you're coming from, this may not be an issue but if you find yourself in the same situation, do the above!

Likte: Couldn't have been happier with our experience. Booked the peacock pod for one night with our young children and were blown away - the pod was cosy, clean, and comfortable, the facilities were immaculate and they'd even put some toys out for our kids which they loved!

There was firewood waiting for us on arrival and we brought some marshmallows from the honesty shack which was stocked with a range of items from sweets to pot noodles.


We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, stress free camping experience with exceptional hosts wgo go above and beyond!

Likte: The whole environment...it feels as if you're in the middle of nowhere and its lovely. We saw rabbits, deer, herons, sheep....

The peacock pod is situated in its own little area with gazebo and outside area full of fairy lights and beautiful little touches.

Facilties within the pod are ample [little fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, heater] as are the facilities within the campsite itself.

We were the only ones on site at this time of year which made it even better. Hosts messaged us near enough as soon as we'd arrived and were always there if needed.

Likte: We loved the woodland walk and the mown paths through the wild campground. It cruelly felt like we were closer to nature, also the ability to access anything you may need for your camping stay. Great for dogs and relaxing.

Likte: This is a lovely quirky site. I’ve never seen anywhere else like it. A very friendly vibe especially as the owners are so lovely and attentive. Got a really organic feel to it. Very peaceful. Facilities are basic but do the job well enough. Play area best suited to young kids is visible from virtually every pitch.
