An immaculately maintained site within easy reach of forest, dale and canalside walks, hikes and bike rides… sound rather tempting? Take yourself along to splendid little Bridge Holme Caravan Site for Lancashire – and Yorkshire – adventures in all the above plus a whole heap more. 'Beautiful', 'immaculate', 'lovely' and 'fantastic' are just a few (a very few) of the chuffed comments from former guests at this peaceful farm site among the Pennine Hills, where there's a friendly and relaxed vibe as well as a mighty helpful team. It's a spacious and grassy site, surrounded by historic towns and villages, cities, and protected woodlands, moorlands and open countryside. Bridge Holme is nicely secluded but within easy reach of pretty much everything that might tickle your fancy: it's around 10 minutes' walk from bars, restaurants and shops in the market town of Barnoldswick; several Pennine cycle and bridleway routes also pass through the town, and miles of walking countryside are in the town surrounds. The site is also only five minutes' walk from the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, which runs all the way to Skipton and its tearooms, pubs and big Saturday market. The mountain biking trails of Gisburn Forest are a short drive away, and there are more outdoor options for hiking, mountain biking and climbing in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, around 10 miles away. Pitches are set in a level and mown one-acre field, with views over green countryside (and of the resident goats). The spotless amenities include toilets, chemical disposal, and hot showers for an additional fee (please note that the toilet and shower block is closed from November to March). A play park is adjacent to the site.

Likte Lovely site, clean, tidy and peaceful. Close to the Barnoldswick historic circular walk and canal. Easy to exercise the dog on the very quiet lane outside.

Likte ikke Someone letting their dog poop behind our van, not the site owners fault. We have dogs on leads, walk them away from the pitches to poop and always pick it up. Whoever it was please be more considerate.

Likte Small site. Llamas and cows in next field. Only two toilets and one shower (£1) but very clean and never had to wait. Easy walk into Barnoldswick, which had plenty of places to eat. Caught bus into Skipton.

Likte On arrival was greeted by the lovely Christine with a info sheet and directions. I was the only stayer for 2 of my 3 nights and it was brilliant. This site is on a working farm and is approx 15mins walk from the town of Barnoldwick. I hope to return soon to this beautiful site.

Likte Location is edge of town & rural, great walks in to local amenities/towns. Nice walks, pubs and restaurants nearby. Site facilities adequate if none in your own vehicle; 1no M&F loos & 1 coin op shower. Alpacas and cows are the neighbours.

Likte A peaceful retreat in immaculate surroundings. A pleasant 15 minute walk takes you into the centre of Barnoldswick which is well served with many restaurants, pubs, independent shops and cafes. The site itself has well spaced pitches, consequently, I'd guess maybe a dozen in total. Therefore, don't be put off by '2 toilets, 1 shower'. During our 4 night stay they were vacant when needed to use and always regularly cleaned. We recommend a 25 minute bus trip into Skipton if you have time. A beautiful market town with canal tours and many shops etc. (timetable attached in photos). You can have a pleasant walk to the canal in Barnoldswick from the site if you fancy a stroll. In summary, a beautiful site with a warm welcome from Christine and good local advice. Plenty of interesting amenities nearby. Can't wait to return.

Likte Lovely quiet site, very clean and friendly.

Likte ikke Only 1 shower and 2 toilets (1 ladies and 1 gents) which when there are 4 and 5 people on 1 pitch aren’t sufficient. Also the fact that the only wash basins are in the toilets and have no drinking water in either, not able to clean teeth… We left a day early.

Likte Lovely quiet little site, alpacas to watch in their pen and spotted some calves in the shed, the site is a short walk into town and a short walk to the canal, only stayed for one night, great sized pitch and came with a picnic bench.

This is a working farm site, so expect the smells that come with a working farm.

Local town Barnoldswick is fably placed for Lancashire and Yorkshire adventures, as it's close to the Yorkshire Dales, the Forest of Bowland, the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, and enough hiking/biking paths to keep one occupied for weeks. The town's on the lower slopes of Weets Hill; for a scenic hike, make your way south of Barnoldswick to Letcliff Country Park and the start of a six and a half mile walk over the local limestone plateau. If you seek even headier times, cross over the Lancashire border to reach the Yorkshire Dales, where the intrepid can tackle the limestone cliffs of Kilnsey, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar within 30 to 40 minutes of Bridge Holme. Slightly less actively, the mountain bike trails around Gisburn Forest (in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) are 35 minutes' drive away. Ready now for more sedate pursuits? The shopping centre and castle of Clitheroe are within 25 minutes' drive and Saltaire and Salt Mill within 40. Further afield, Leeds is an hour and 10 minutes away and York an hour and a half.
