Excellent shop.
Premium pitches very good size.
Dishwasher being available was good.
Very good location in middle of Lake District.

Likte ikke A check in time of 1pm would have been useful, especially when the nights draw in.
Food vans could offer more choice, especially for vegetarians or those with dietary needs.

Likte Beautiful site. Our motorhome water pump had packed up so we had to rely on the facilities, toilet/shower/washing up etc and the first night we parked near the playground but the toilet and shower weren’t great there. The 3 showers in the other block were much better.
We liked the peace and quiet, the beautifully kept grounds and the friendly staff and people we met there. The playgroup was lovely. Our kids loved the zip wire. The stars at night were amazing! The site was clean and tidy. Would have been 10/10 if the shower by the playground was better.

Likte ikke The single shower by the playground was awful but thankfully we found the better block the 2nd night. We had to decide whether we were close to the playground or close to the much better facilities.

Likte Loved this site 5* From the friendly greeting to the advice on walks and fells it was fantastic. Excellent walks straight from the site as we didn't move our campervan in the 3 days we were there.
Very clean site with Very well maintained heated toilets and showers checked several times daily very clean. There's a laundry and drying room after a long walk to sort your clothes out and boots. There's even a library.There play areas for the kids although we didn't see these as no kids in tow.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area.
Would definitely stay here again when next in the area

Likte The site is set in beautiful surroundings, with stunning scenery and a lovely peaceful atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy everything the Lake District has to offer.

The grounds are extremely well maintained, the facilities are excellent, and the whole site feels clean, tidy and very well looked after.

Great staff who are very welcoming.

The first and not the last time visiting that is for sure!

Likte Some things no TV reception and very poor wi-fi

Likte ikke Was given a occupied to leave on the pitch when we left for the day which was left when we returned it seems to have disappeared and some one was parked on the original pitch we picked which meant we had park somewhere else which wasn't good parked until trees and it rained all night it was like a galloping horse running up and down the roof all night
