Likte Really good campsite. Clean toilets and shower. Wood and camp fire available to click and collect even at short notice when we ran out. Little barn set up for kids to play archery. Also local farm shop few minutes walk with good quality bbq ingredients. Good space between pitches also.

Not busy so lots of space

Likte ikke This was a last minute trip and school holidays so didn’t have lot choice , it is very expensive at £30 pn for non electric and you have to pay extra if you wish to have a shower maybe a playground installed would be good for kids of charging so much . This has put me of staying again

I am glad you enjoyed the large pitch size and cleanliness of the site. Sorry to hear you didn't get to book your stay until the last minute and so didn't have much choice on where to stay.

You seem to have marked us down for the price and charging for showers primarily. This seems a little unfair as the price and cost of showers are clearly advertised before you decide to book...

We do plan to install a play area for children in the future but to mark us down for not having something we don't advertise doesn't me sense.

Sorry to see you wont be staying again or recommending us.

Likte The location was good, secluded, flat ground, plenty of space to pitch, close by to a lovely farm shop, all amenities available

Sorry that you feel the price is excessive and that charging for showers seems too much.

We did take a long time deciding whether or not to charge for showers. When considering this we took into account the considerable upfront investment in the shower block. In addition the cost of pumping the water to and from the shower block, heating and lighting along with the cost of disposing of the waste water. We decided that it was better to offer the facility with a small cost rather than not bothering with showers at all.

We hope that you will stay again in the future as we plan to keep improving and developing the site as much as possible to ensure value for money and guest satisfaction.

Likte Modern toilet and shower facilities

Very well kept and facilities cleaned to a good standard routinely

Great location; farm-shop over the road, pubs local (although some are closed down), walks and running routes are decent

The field is never quite very populated … I can’t stand cramped sites!

Likte 2 lovely fields to choose from. Plenty of room for everyone. Lovely, peaceful site. Dog and family friendly but everyone was very respectful and quiet and there was no disturbing noise at all after 9pm.

Toilets very clean and the washing up area and cold fresh water tap were handy too.
Great location, only minutes from the motor way.

Great place to relax for a weekend or a great base to go out for day trips or exploring near by attractions. We went wild swimming at Horse Shoe Falls (50 mins away) and had a great day. Lots of people paddleboarding there too.

You can park your car by your tent too which is always helpful.

There is a carbon sale at the site on a Sunday once a month. Tents needs to be packed away by 11am so the field can be used as a car park for visitors. You can keep your car on the site though and visit the cartoon sale if you wish. Worth bearing in mind if staying at the weekend or over weekend and into the week. Maybe ask before booking.

The owner is very friendly and helpful with great knowledge of the local area and attractions to visit. No question was too big or small.

We also ate out locally at The Partrige pub/restaurant which was amazing. The staff were super friendly and the food was outstanding.

We will definitely re-visit Stretton Hall Camping again and recommend it to single campers, couples and families. It's a great site for everyone.

Likte ikke We had quite a few wasps around our tent but that's our fault for not taking anything with us to deal with them! It's part of being in the countryside and out in nature.
It was also the hottest day of the year so to be expected but worth bearing in mind if you have kids. Take some spray!

Likte Friendly site.

Likte ikke 4 minute showers , including changing time. I shampooed my hair inthe disabled facility and had conditioner in before I paid my £2. I saw another lady walking from her tent in a towel.
