Likte I was shocked at the park on arrival, I wasn’t expecting the park to be as it is. We loved Skirlington leisure park. The atmosphere was amazing, the Children’s Parks were safe & secure, out door entertainment was great. The onsite shop was very reasonable priced. The facilities throughout the park where clean. It’s just a lovely place. Oh and the market was fantastic. It’s just a lovely site

The food from the fish shop wasn’t nice the chips were undercooked even after we where told we had to wait 30 minutes for chips I’d rather have waited 35 & had the cooked a bit better.

Likte ikke Holidays spoiled. By rats scurrying backwards and forwards during the day not just one .was told that this has been reported before so obviously not sorted. Not the cleanest toilets we've been in also noticed one of the ol9der security guy quite openly having a drink in the entertainment part and it wasn't water or squash. Pool shower and toilet insufficient.

We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced during your stay. We take reports of pests extremely seriously and have already been working with our pest control partners to address this. We will continue to monitor the area closely to ensure it is fully resolved.

We also apologise for any disappointment with the cleanliness and facilities, as well as your observations regarding a member of staff. This is not the standard we expect, and we will be investigating this further to ensure it is dealt with appropriately.

Likte We really likes this site. The entertainment was amazing and the kids loved it. Site was nice and clean. Close to Scarborough Hornsea Bridlington so its a good base point. Toilets were clean and the showers were lovely and powerfull.

Likte ikke The laundry was expensive to use and didn't really clean the clothes that well. The swimming pool is a bit small and has no slides so was a bit boring for the kids. The food although tasty we did have a slight hick up but was resolved very quickly and they couldn't apologise enough and try make things right.

Likte ikke Seemed to be lots of trade vehicles on the site which did make it feel not very holiday like. And booking the swimming pool was awkward it needs to be on their app like other parks.

Likte It was sunny, security man was lovely

Likte ikke There was no waste point to empty grey waste, no hose to clean toilets out in designated area. Security were always driving round through day but not on a night, a large family group behind us were still at it and playing music after midnight. We were in a caravan so not so bad but the people who were sleeping in awnings weren’t impressed. The toilet block for our field had only 2 showers and they were okay but not cleaned very well. Kids had crawled under the doors and locked most of the toilets and no staff cleaner came down often, only put new paper in when did. Families with kids it’s great, lots for them to do in the club but we”ll not be back. If the price is rammed up during school holidays I expect the facilities cleaned and tidy and security.
For paying 42 a night it was disappointing really. We’ve family next door at Far Grange and their public toilets in club, bars and swimming pool are clean, tidy and beautiful. They’ve changed all the names and all the numbers of the pitches but not labeled any of them so none of them match the new maps. Absolutely ridiculous.
I used to stay at Skirlington a lot over years but not now.

We are, however, genuinely sorry to hear that several aspects of your visit didn’t meet expectations. We take all feedback seriously, and I’d like to assure you that we are reviewing the points you raised.

We’ve recently been undergoing some changes on the park, including updates to pitch numbers and facilities, and we appreciate that this may have caused some confusion. Clearer signage and better alignment with our maps are now being prioritised.

With regard to the shower and toilet facilities, your comments have been passed directly to our cleaning and maintenance team leaders. Cleanliness and functionality are extremely important to us, especially during busy periods, and we clearly didn’t get that right during your stay.

Your feedback on night-time security and the grey waste provision is also being reviewed by management. We want all guests, whether in caravans or awnings, to feel comfortable and respected at all times.

We’re sorry to hear you won’t be returning, especially as you’ve stayed with us many times in the past. Please know that we’re working hard to address these issues, and we do hope you might reconsider in the future.
