In a glorious setting overlooking the Grand Union Canal and all the boating action at Nelson’s Wharf, the Podtastic glamping units sit on a 40-acre private estate in the Warwickshire countryside. The pretty half-timbered market town of Southam is just 10 minutes’ drive away, and many of the sights and attractions of Central England are all within reach for family day trips. Each high-spec pod has sleeping space for up to four in double and sofa beds – just right for a family with one or two kids. Older children can also bring their own tents and camp right outside to provide extra space (and a bit of adventure for them…). Other high-spec facilities include central heating to keep everybody nice and warm, a shower room, a mini kitchen and a dedicated dining area. Outdoors there’s a seating area with disposable barbecue stands and a firepit for alfresco dining – and if you fancy a change of scenery, stroll along the canal towpath for half an hour to the village of Stockton (five minutes’ drive) to a canalside pub or Chinese takeaway. Active glampers can soon be out and about exploring, with gentle walks along the towpath for families and quiet canalside cycle routes – in fact bikers can jump into the saddle and head right to Royal Leamington Spa (45 minutes) or Warwick (an hour and a quarter) with very little road work required.

Likte Where do I even start!

Tom & Izzie are brilliant hosts! On arrival was welcomed by Tom & given all the info needed during our stay. As it was one of the hottest days of the year the doors & windows were already open & there was a fan inside to keep cool. Extra sheets were already put in should we need them.

Due to the warm weather the fridge was a little low on temp and both came round to bring ice & ice packs which was fantastic.

Exceptional value for money. Came with 2 small children and they both had a fab time. The park is perfect for the children aswell as the outdoor toy box.

The children loved having a free run of the space and didn’t want to come home at the end of our stay. Having the canal and boats coming past waving to the children made them smile everytime.

Pod was more than well equipped with everything you would need, I also loved that there was children’s plates and cutlery in the cupboard.

Could not fault a thing. I will be returning as this is great value for money and a perfect space for the children.

Likte Beautiful location, quiet and the pod was so clean and well stocked. It had everything you would need apart from your own clothes! The weather was gorgeous so we spent all our time relaxing by the pod and didn’t leave! Owners are lovely too, really friendly and welcoming but left us to it. Perfect all round :)

Likte We spent a weekend at Podtastic at Nelsons Wharf and really enjoyed our stay. The location is lovely and has a relaxed feel to it, with plenty of open space to enjoy. My Kid especially loved the playground and the freedom to run about and play games in the wide open areas. The pod itself was cosy and comfortable, and the owners were very welcoming, which made the experience feel even more personal. A great spot for a family break.

Likte Lovely location, quiet, nice walks, child played happily on site, canal nearby had lovely boats coming by, was safe for child to play outside. Nearby facilities by car easy to reach. Loved that podtastic provided full bbq equipment and coals. Pod was clean with everything we needed provided. Internet was rock solid. Absolutely loved it. Met by Tom on arrival who welcomed us and answered all questions we had.

Likte Nice and peaceful place. Surrounded by nature and beautiful view. Pod have everything what you need, even vacuum cleaner, mop and fan for hot days. I would definitely come back xx

Likte It was super clean and had everything we could have wanted in the pod, and more besides. The location was beautiful and the playpark perfect for the kids and additional toys were provided too which was great. The layout of the pods meant they felt private but easy to see the children running around and making new friends.

Big-hitting attractions for holidaying families include Cadbury World, where kids can go on a 4D chocolatey adventure and get to have a try at making chocolate themselves. For a full day of activities, Drayton Manor Theme Park (both an hour's drive) has Viking-themed rides, a waterpark, crazy golf and keeper talks at the zoo. The major attraction in historic Warwick (half an hour) is undoubtedly its medieval castle, where families can get lost in the maze, explore the tower and ramparts, tour the state rooms and watch knights jousting. Another entertaining draw for families is the National Space Centre (55 minutes), with its planetarium and immersive space-themed movies, or you can see endangered leopards and visit Gruffalo Discovery Land at Twycross Zoo (an hour).
