Likte Great to come back with grandchildren after 30 years! Staff were very friendly and helpful especially the manager of JAKKS and the swimming pool. Good communication and organisation and very family friendly. We enjoyed being on the TOP field out of the way and using our bikes to get around. Kids loved the facilities

Likte ikke It was very very busy and the fields were all occupied as it was good weather in August! The toilets and showers at the top field were just like festival toilets and struggled to cope with the amount of campers. Some people were up until early hours making noise. Perhaps more showers and toilets needed and investments in the cleanliness. Lots of litter - I picked from our field. The 4pm pool slot was too busy but we had it to ourselves at 10am! Could be cleaner but heavily populated.

Likte The pool, park and roilet facilities on site, the wardens were always polite and helpful, and it was lovely to have the few animals on site also.

Likte ikke The ground under the grass was extremely hard, was told to use rock pegs, which we did and they bent, and we struggled to pitch up when we arrived. We had a rain storm which caused the rain to pool in our tent porch because the ground was uneven and it couldn't soak into the ground, we have medical equipment with us so we cannot have water in the tent, other unused pitches didnt have the pools of water resting on the ground. The showers have no where to put dry clothes, everything gets soaked, and the male showers were often cold. The tumble dryer is a pound for 10 minutes which I think is a little expensive, was told to leave closed until clothes were dry, but after 10 mins there was no heat although it continued to tumble at a very slow rate.

Likte Really great service from staff and the site is well patrolled / kept clean etc. Good parks for the kids as there are two on each end.

Likte ikke Very large site and there is a lot of permanent residents that make lots of areas shanty town looking and derelict. The site seems to be a bit mish mash in terms of its set up and what it’s aiming for. Lots of E Bikes zooming around too…We personally wouldn’t stay again and have two young kids.

Likte What an incredible camp site this is!
We very nearly booked another night only for my husband not being able to get if off work the next day!
Every single staff member we came across were amazing,
The outdoor pool, the bar, the bottle top bingo, the club, the site everything was delightful! Everywere was nice and clean, everyone was so polite, welcoming and friendly! We would highly recommend this site and we will 100% be coming back to visit!
This was our first time camping and what an amazing first choice this was! So thank you! We WILL be back!

Likte The campsite was close to lots of different places to visit….Wem, Shrewsbury, Chester, Nantwich etc
We liked where our pitch was ( next to a hedge ) so had more privacy and it was a good size too.
The campsite also had a nice well stocked shop near the entrance also the security barrier gave you peace of mind.
There was also a nice takeaway place on site too selling burgers, breakfasts, fish & chips…..very good 👍🏻

Likte ikke The campsite seemed very tired in some places the amount of seasonal pitches was crazy , and some looked really shabby. Not a nice sight to see on arrival.
The toilet/shower blocks were functional but could definitely do with a bit of TLC

Likte ikke Absolutely shocking experience I was not allowed on the site, I have a van for motocross only not work related use at all they wouldn’t let me on the site unless i kept my van in a lock up with no access for the weekend the manager said I should get a refund, absolutely never choose this site again & other van where going in & out why we was waiting for staff to sort us -5 out of 5

As I said at the time the other vans had told us about the van and use the van storage during their stay.
In the PitchUp rules it says,
Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

I also double checked and you sent multiple emails that said about vans

So although PitchUp may not be so black and white to you. I think in our own email information with you we did say vans are not permitted. So we tried our very best to keep you informed, thank you for making it obvious that vans are not allowed with this review.

Likte Great set up, with clean toilets and showers.
Food and choice of drinks great. Swimming pool looked fab, but we didn’t use

Loud music
Site cancelled second booking even though pitch up allowed it.
Said accessible showers but no sets in the actual shower
