Pitch size good and level
Even though it was a family site, people respected noise levels
Facilities (toilets & showers) very clean
Very good free WiFi
Good communication from the owner post booking & pre-arrival

Likte ikke The charge for dogs! at £20 per dog per stay is expensive especially when there are no dog facilities such as dog wash, secure play / walking area or poo bins onsite.
Nothing against the site but it is strange you cannot recycle glass, just wonder what the pub does with their glass?

Fra bestyreren: Thankyou for your review, just to let you know the £20 charge as stated when booking is for more than 2 dogs we allow 2 dogs free per pitch any more than 2 and we have a charge of £20 this is due to occupancy levels mainly, glass recycling is provided in the recycling bins on site, the pub also has a bin next to the pub which is for mixed glass only, i must say we are always approachable for these types of questions and given the clarity we could have given this sort of thing could have been avoided thanks

Likte ikke The park the kids played on looked like it would fall down with them on it, the toilets r disgusting and never cleaned the showers u carnt breath in there an the water is scolding or to cold and the vents need a good clean, never seen any cleaners at all all week no disinfectant round at all

Fra bestyreren: Hi, your review is not acrurate at all the play park is brand new and is perfectly safe and secure, the toilet block is cleaner every single day by myself we disinfect and bleach them every day, we have new fans ready to be installed and the water pressure in afriad is just down to our rural location not only this but had you ready any of the information you could have spoke to us in person instead of leaving a disgusting review when I myself work very hard to make sure I clean the toilets every day, we cannot and will not follow every single person in to the toilets to clean up after them and it is just an impossible task, if we were to employ a cleaner instead to maintain these toilet bollock 3 times a day the price per night would have to rise significantly, I beleive this review is just down to the fact that you were spoken to about not watching your children playing on the tractor and play park and were allowing them just to do as they pleased which again it is 100% mentioned on every sign that children must be supervised, the play park is more than adequate and everyone else has said how great it is so I believe this is just becuase you did not like being told to monitor your children’s activities while on site, we are glad you will not be coming back to our site as the behaviour you showed was discusting Thankyou for not returning l

Likte Absolutely lovely place and they have done a lot more to site then last time we stopped four years ago it's a secure place with a lovely atmosphere the toilets are really well maintained and the new kids play area is brilliant to keep the kids busy

Likte Good size pitch.
Good size campsite , if you don't like overly busy & crowded. Good facilities .
Liked the use of codes to access site and facilities as made it feels safer and unaccessabile to non campers.

Likte ikke Could have been more bins are were over spilling & surrounded by wasps, flies and hornets, one of which stung me badly and from which I'm still suffering.

Fra bestyreren: Hi Thankyou for your review sorry to hear about your incident with the wasps unfortunately this is out of our control we did go to the bins every day to rearrange them as I’m afriad to say even though we label the bins and what they are used for people have been placing waste not in the appropriate bin which then attracts wasps especially in the warm weather, I visited them every day and moved the waste about to make sure the bin lids were kept closed and its poor when visiting the bins I always find that one of the bins is complelty empty and not being used and the other ones are over flowing which means I then have to transfer it about and crush it down and move bins about, all it takes is to fill the bins up appropriately with the correct waste as we have 4 recycling bins and 3 general waste which is usually plenty when used appropriately, again we do apologies for your wasp sting and hope you recover quickly thanks

I’m alittle confused about the grass cutting as I cannot find anywere that requires the grass cutting as currently with the heat and weather being so dry our grass is not growing and has turned a yellow colour this will obviously return to green once we get some rain,

I would say that I have had a really good walk around the entire site and cannot find anywere that requires the grass cutting, it’s a shame really as I love cutting the grass and seeing it nice and short but we just cannot cut anything currently
