Ik was blij met The location was used as an overnight stop from Italy to Calais. I would not normally consider sites like this as a holiday destination but this site has changed my mind. A lovely rural location with fantastic facilities swimming pool, shop, restaurant and the most friendliest staff you could wish to meet. We also had a lovely three course meal in the in site restaurant. The facilities were clean and plentiful. A great stop and my only regret we could not stop for longer.

Ik was blij met The location is absolutely superb with views and sound of lake Garda literally ten feet away. Plots allocated were large with easy access to the power points. Site felt very secure and had no issues leaving the van to explore Venice and Milan by public transport. The shower and toilet blocks were clean. There is a bar and cafe on site we were very close to reception and had two loud evenings but no issues from our perspective on that front. The location has good quality restaurants nearby and nearby shops but be prepared for steep hill walks of about 10 to 15 mins. It is steep but not fair to criticise the site about this as beyond their control but added an optional extra section. Shower cubicle are large enough.

Ik was niet blij met The site is dated and needs and upgrade in terms of the toilet block. To be fair the size of the existing block is good. However there are basics missing and I will explain my rationale: 1. The washing machine was broken - previous reviews mention this and still not fixed 2. Urinals out of action 3. Three hole in the ground toilets and one toilet with no seat. Today calls for four toilets pans with seats. The one toilet has no seat. 4. Soap dispensers at sink are needed 5. Shower heads at toilet provided to clean but no paper at all. Optional Extra for the future: 1. Expand the shop to sell bottled water and basic food stuffs. We went to cafe to buy water and wee sent to the shop. Went to the shop who sent us back to the cafe. You are missing a trick by not selling larger bottles and basic food stuffs. 2. The showers drain out of the cubicle door so it may be beneficial to provide a shelf or a seat to place clothes on as opposed to the hook provided as if the clothes drop they land on the soaking wet floor. We came out of season and we managed very well that said I don’t think if we had come peak season this review would be the same as the view and location are only so forgiving.

Ik was blij met The review is from two adults and three late teenagers aged 17, 17 and 18. The campsite is located in a pretty picturesque village in Normandy approximately five hours from the channel tunnel but easier access via ferry ports. Our plot was a B grade and it has its own water supply and electric. The pitch has a slight slope but we were prepared with our levelling chocks and did not impact on our stay. The pitch allowed us to erect our Coleman XL driveway awning and VW camper (just to check sizes) and still plenty of room to sit out the front or even put another car or little tent. The staff are friendly who are fluent in French and English. Reception has tourist information and a selection of beers, ciders and wines.Sweets and ice cream for the children plus some basic essentials. On site food is offered with choice of burgers, hotdogs or fish all served with chips. There are chicken strips for those with a smaller apetite. I recommend the Normandie burger. Friday is BBQ night and well worth planning for. The facilities are there for all to use a microwave, hot plate, fridge freezer. TV room with a selection of games to be played pool or table football. Outside is table tennis. WiFi on site is amazing and as I type this away from reception I have two bars out of three coverage. With three teenagers no issues identified with the WiFi so speaks for itself. Only minor criticism is the number of washing up sinks- there are two sinks , which are covered and within a lovely traditional stone structure.- With the water points, maybe a future consideration would be for washing up points in the zones but it would not stop us returning this is minor. The showers and other facilities are clean and fresh with a modern feel. There is even a hairdryer for the metrosexual male! A short walk and you in the lovely village - it felt a mainly flat walk but it is a very slight incline. Along the way you can see buildings and historic photographs are matched to them showing WW2 views to today. A small shop that’s sells milk and bread and a choice of butcher’s. Overall This is a gem of a site that puts others to shame in terms of service and a great place to base yourself to visit the historic rich area of Normandie.

Ik was niet blij met 1. No organisation 2. Had a pitch which we left a utility tent on only to go out in van and return to find someone in our pitch (see point 1). 3. Free for all people just seen to do what they want 4. No fault of site to be fair but clumps of clay everywhere when heavy rain this is horrendous consider wellingtons if going. 5. Sanitary bins not emptied in ladies

Ik was blij met The site was clean, well presented and convenient. It was a very relaxed site which met up to the title retreat. Costs compared with other sites was competitive. The pitches were spacious and not cramped, as we have been on other sites. The APP was superb in recommending things to do both at a cost but more importantly free. This added to the overall holiday experience, so thank you and well done. Great location for walking from too. I have read some reviews which criticised the site for the local footpaths etc. I would point out these are countryside footpaths and as such know to take appropriate footwear.

Ik was niet blij met Very Minor points ============= 1. Take a towel to facilities the hand driers were weaker than a moped going up the Lynton cliff railway 2. Paying for second car when there was space on the pitch.

Ik was blij met Spacious pitches, friendly relaxed atmosphere, nice bar and entertainment. Clean and functional shower block. Really enjoyed the stay.

Ik was blij met The site itself was extremely busy but to the teams credit they kept everything clean. The pitches were large enough to accommodate our tent. There were facilities for both young and teenagers alike. Staff dealt well with noise complaints and things improved. There was a plumbing issue and they dealt with really well and promptly.

Ik was niet blij met I would of given five stars but I feel the pitches were too close to each other and we suffered with a noise issue from selfish people but not the sites direct fault but The issue came from two groups being on a group booking next to none groups so I would suggest the following: 1. A gap between pitches of 1 to 1.5 m as opposed to people being able to put next to our tent with less than 10 cm! This prevents noise issue and safety issues. 2. Group bookings remain on group areas need don’t impact on none groups 3. The literature around Covid was informative but no reminders on curfews or courtesy for other campers ( you should not have to spell it out but unfortunately we had to be direct with a selfish group). I want to say I would stay again but left really disappointed by a group that spoiled our holiday and because of that no but nothing against the team. Hopefully take comments on board and no one else will be left with a spoilt holiday
