Ik was blij met Everything, second time staying here. First time in a camping pod second time upgraded to the Glamping. Both are good, if we were without kids I’d probably choose the camping pod, with kids it’s just easier to have that kitchen area in the Glamping. Staff very friendly, very good service. Glamping pod was lovely and spacious. Swimming pool area is nice and clean, if I’m being really picky pool is a little deep for younger children minimum is 1.2m but I was well prepared with all safety measures, floats, armbands, vests etc so all good, we enjoyed the swimming so would go in again. Play park is well maintained, shop is well stocked with essentials. Will book again for sure!

Ik was blij met Everything! Nice simple site, we stayed in one of the glamping pods with 2 young children. Very clean and spacious and very impressed with the added en suite behind, best ‘camping’ shower I’ve ever had, water pressure fantastic, temperature great too, loved that there was a heater in the shower/toilet and even a very good hair dryer! Shaving socket too, honestly it was fab! Swimming pool on site, We didnt manage swimming as we had a very packed few days although the pool looked fab. Handy shop on site perfect for essentials, not much choice of supermarkets nearby you have to travel a bit but there is a small Sainsbury’s and an Aldi in Ashbourne. Kids enjoyed the play park on site, plenty of places to visit nearby. We went to Alton Towers it took about 25-30mins, this site is perfect if you don’t want to travel a long way on the day to Alton Towers. All in all we had a fantastic stay and we will be returning and exploring more areas around! No

Ik was blij met Could not fault the place, where do I start? Check in was easy, map to follow to find the tent pitch was easy to read and finding the pitch was easy, tent pitch was a good size. First thing was to explore the site, toilets and shower facilities are amazing! I had a 6 month old baby and 18 month old with me. The separate baby bath area with baby change was fantastic, the fact there is a family room with a bath was just so much easier for my sisters 18 month old didn’t expect this at all. There are many family shower rooms, plus lots of showers with toilets/basin/mirror in the same cubicle (obviously split) but they were fantastic, they were kept as clean as they could, there were times they were messy but this can’t be managed 24/7 it’s not possible unfortunately some people don’t have respect. Laundry area is great with washing machines and dryers, iron available if needed. Washing up area is inside with plenty of sinks available very clean and tidy! Shop is very good, has a great selection of items that you would need, hot drinks and fresh cakes available from there too. Swimming pool isn’t massive but it’s warm and it’s got a little separated area that was fab for my baby to have a little splash in! Separate changing rooms for the swimming pool including baby change too! Bar was nice, didn’t manage to make it in there many nights due to having the little ones but did go in and it seemed reasonable very clean and tidy. Games room has table tennis and pool table. Play park for the kids is great does get quite busy and noisy around tea time but I can’t say there was any disturbance at all, I think all was quiet most nights by 11pm. Now for the first couple of nights we did a BBQ tradition for us when camping! But, due to the rain on the third day we decided to try the on-site cafe, well what can I say the food was FANTASTIC. Very reasonably priced, nothing exotic but for the price and quality we ended up eating in there for the rest of our stay even had breakfast twice too and it was just as good as evening meals. Specials board changes daily too. Only disappointment was not getting to try the pizza unfortunately they sell out very fast and the pizza oven can only cope with so much volume but never mind… next time :) I can’t really think of anything that was bad about this place and I’ve done a lot of camping if I’m being really picky maybe the showers push button could let the showers run a little longer than a few seconds. All in all an excellent stay and it is definitely a site that we will return to! Thank you, 5 Stars
