Ik was blij met Great large level hardstanding pitches with electric & water - although we only stayed overnight so only used electricity. The close proximity to ferry terminals at Cairnryan is such a bonus - we docked at 9.50pm and pitched up with a cup of tea by 10.15pm - very grateful to Mike & Michelle for allowing our late arrival with prior permission. The toilet and showers are excellent too - would look at staying again for longer and explore the area using this as a base with the excellent set up here - definitely will use when travelling on ferry ⛴️ as makes the journey so much easier. Highly recommend Ryan Bay a very well kept, cared for site - a credit to Mike & Michelle

Ik was blij met Everything - excellent communication, lovely site - immediately impressed as we drove through the gates - very warm welcome from Michelle & Mike and easy to locate a pitch. Pitch was hard standing and level with electricity and water. Showers & toilet facilities nice and clean and plenty of hot water. Great laundry room if you needed it. Perfect location for travelling to and from Ireland as ferry ports literally 10 mins away. Would highly recommend

Ik was blij met An absolutely delightful site - Summer (owner) is so helpful and friendly and has certainly created an excellent environment. The shower/toilet block is lovely and liked the radio on in the background. Facilities kept very clean. The weather this weekend was exceptional which always helps - we were on Ainsworth area which was peaceful and liked the free roaming chickens. We had bikes with us and lovely rides around the area - took about 10 minutes to ride into Garstang. Will definitely return - Thank you Summer

Ik was blij met Fantastic site - very easy access and pitches are a good size and relatively flat - they are a hardcode base. The shower /toilet facilities are 10 star - absolutely immaculate and brilliant size, lots of hot water and strong jet - underfloor heating a real bonus. There are currently 2 shower/loo/washbasin rooms with an additional toilet cubicle- we did note a further 2 showers and a toilet cubicle are being installed at opposite end of block. Jimmy is so helpful and was happy to pop by with £1 coins in exchange for notes to assist with the electrical supply. We used the site as a base as had family in York centre so spent most days out in York - we did pop into Pocklington which is a beautiful village well worth visiting and we ate at No 10 Bistro & Bar in Stamford Bridge which we would definitely recommend for a really friendly welcome and fabulous food. You will be given a barrier code for arrival and you need the code to leave the site too which adds security. We were in our motorhome and had our tow car which enabled us to get around easily so can’t comment on public transport. We went to Castle Howard which was only 25 mins away and worthy of a visit. Nice farm shop/ cafe just past Stamford Bridge heading towards York in Gate Hemsley. If you use LPG then there is a great filing station in Gate Helmsley with easy access to the LPG and good price. We will definitely return - thank you Jimmy for creating a safe lovely site.

Ik was blij met Charoland is just such a perfect site - only 25 mins from home and we always feel like we have had a full restful time when we have visited - Jane & Walter run an excellent site and it is a credit to them both.

Ik was blij met This is our 3rd stay at Charoland this year - it is simply the most perfect site - you will not find anywhere else to match its pristine condition. Walter should get an award for the perfect hedges alone. This is a quiet adult only site with less than 10 pitches which are all hardstanding and level - with EHU. The shower facilities are perfect -again immaculate. We are fortunate that this site is only 30 minutes away from our home and it’s our go to site for a total relaxing and recharging experience as it is so peaceful. There is a large petrol garage with a very well stocked shop and even a Starbucks, Subway and Greggs about a 15 minute walk away along with a great Indian restaurant. As Tina Turner’s song says - this site is “Simply The Best”. Jane & Walter should be very proud of what they have created and it is always so lovely to have a lovely chat with them both.

Ik was blij met Everything-we stayed here on our way down to Annecy and re booked to stay on our return journey. All the pitches are lovely and the owners are so lovely and keep the whole site in excellent condition. Showers etc all good - they are unisex but no issue. Good laundry facilities and lovely little play park. Fab restaurant on site - well worth visiting - we will definitely return

Ik was blij met Great little site - really well kept and friendly owners. Restaurant onsite excellent - pool lovely - toilet/shower block are unisex but fine. We used the site for a 2 night stop en route further south and have re booked for a night on the way back.

Ik was blij met Absolutely everything- we have been motor-homing for nearly 6 years and Charoland is the best kept site we have stayed on - it is immaculate everywhere. Pitches are beautiful, fab size, level and are arranged beautifully around a circle. The hedges & landscaping are outstanding. The owners take great pride in everything and we even saw them cleaning inside the main bin lids - real attention to detail. The shower & toilet facilities are also immaculate. The site is a quiet adult only site and definitely allows you to benefit from the peace and quiet. We heard lots of birds and saw a woodpecker and a robin daily. We will be returning often as such a perfect site - thank you Jane & Walter for providing such a haven it’s a credit to you both.

Ik was blij met Everything about this site is wonderful - it is beautiful maintained by the owners and staff. Pitches are a great size and love that they all have very substantial picnic tables for use, Toilets are very clean and always kept clean. Lovely play park and love the bug hotels and bee hives - we will definitely return as great location and perfect site

Ik was blij met Outstanding site - very warm welcome. Covid 19 precautions outstanding - Lisa is so helpful and friendly. Pitches are such a good size with excellent level ground. Lovely play park with nice area to play other ball games. Fantastic coffee caravan - open 24/7 with lovely coffee and cakes available. The pizza van on a Saturday night is truly amazing and some of the best pizza we have ever eaten. Lovely bike rides on quite country lanes to Selby, Barlow Nature Reserve and many other places - the Trans Pennine trail is great. This is one of the nicest sites we have visited in our two years with a Motorhome and we really look forward to returning - thank you Lisa & Dean your site is a credit to you and all your lovely staff. We look forward to seeing you again.
