Ik was blij met Booked on the same day we intended to go. Pitched right by the lake. Beautiful scenery. The owner escorted us to our pitch. Very thorough with any info we may need. Clean beautifully kept grounds. Showers were lovely and hot, spacious and clean. Plenty of clean toilets. We only had a short stay but we were very pleasantly surprised. For saying it was a last minute break on a budget, we felt quite spoilt. Only ten minute drive from the beach and 5 mins from shops.

Ik was blij met The views from the blue lagoon field are breathtaking. If lucky enough to have clear skies, the sun set on the horizon is quite emotional and extraordinary and the stars to be seen at night are amazing! We have stayed here before on another field lower down, the views were still great, right next to coastal path walks and a gorgeous little stony cove. A little challenging to walk down to it, but take your time and you’ll be fine! My 7 year old did it holding my hand. All the facilities are clean. On our third night we had gale force winds, a member of staff did come to pre warn us and offer us shelter if we were to need it. Which was highly appreciated, as prepared as we thought we were for this wind, we did have to cut our holiday short due to our tent being destroyed. Some friends had booked last minute to join us on our trip, when we got to the campsite we found we were booked in on different fields. (As if you book an electric pitch you are allocated a pitch) the lady in reception was very friendly and managed to put us right next to each other. Which made our camping experience even better! This is a lovely site with great views!

Ik was niet blij met Not much to dislike but if I had to be picky, if based on the far side of the field, it’s a fair walk to go to the toilets or to collect drinking water. If you don’t have a trolley to carry your water, that’s an agonising walk. Not much to do for children here but I don’t think that’s such a bad thing as you can make up your own activities to do on the vast space available on the fields. Depending which field you are on, the signal here is quite poor. So to use the free WiFi isn’t always an option.

We appreciate your comments with regard to the distance to the facilities, this very much depends on where you are located on site. We are always happy to move people closer to the facilities if needed. If you need to be closest to the facilities we recommend staying the the farmhouse field which is closest to the main facility buildings.
