Ik was blij met Really quiet, peaceful and friendly. We had to cancel our original booking because of illness and the campsite was very helpful in rebooking us for no extra cost. They’ve also started to hire tents which we took them up on - felt like a luxury! We look forward to going again.

Ik was blij met I really like this site. It was small and quiet and had everything you really needed for camping plus Wi-Fi!

Ik was niet blij met I’d recommend bringing a roll of blue roll just because one of the toilets is much more popular than the other and runs out quickly.

Ik was blij met My 10 year old and I had a really lovely two night stay at Pool Farm. This is a small, basic site with everything you need and with really lovely, friendly proprietors. My daughter adored feeding all the sheep and insisted on being back to help with morning and afternoon feeds. The site is small, level and cars are parked outside the camping field so kids can run around safely. Although it is near the road we didn't find the traffic, or the farm animals, unreasonably noisy. The pub over the road does well-priced food and wifi and there are plenty of other pubs and cafes in the nearby villages. The sea and low-tide only sandy beach is a short, pleasant walk away. We also spent a day at Ogmore Bay which was lovely - but I think I liked Southerndown Bay slightly more. Although our stay was a little damp (can't book the weather) we really enjoyed it and would definitely return. The only thing I was concerned about beforehand was not having an electric pitch, which is what I normally book, but there was a hut with plenty of charge points, a kettle and a fridge, which worked very well for the number of campers, and was a nice touch, so I didn't miss having electric at all.

Ik was blij met We liked camping at The Walled Garden very much. It's a very basic site but the location more than makes up for it if you can cope without the trimmings. It's child-friendly so there are plenty of kids there - great for mine to play with. I'm only deducting a star because the water to the shower and toilet block failed one morning, but to the site's credit, the problem was fixed quickly and all the campers were issued a free coffee at the garden cafe as an apology. There was apparently wfi in the cafe but we were happy going off-grid so didn't try it. We will stay again.

Ik was niet blij met A tiny bit noisy before the 10pm curfew and from trains going by on the other side of the village - but nothing that can't be solved with earplugs!
