Ik was blij met If you want a campsite out in the middle of nowhere this is for you,I believe i stayed here before but cannot remember, this time I met great people had some great chats sitting in the pub tent on site with some proper cider not supermarket common stuff,out of the back roads quieter and peaceful, bit off road coming in but better than a muddy track ,pitch was fine perfectly adequate for my tent and motorcycle..two staff,friendly and welcoming I had no complaints friends as you would expect showers and toilets were clean considering they were used every day,met next door who needed a hand putting their tent up in the rain,no problems with any campers,..pizza will definitely be my next option....great selection of drink,,only had the one cider will definitely get more in next time lovely to be around wildlife and farm animals be careful though two roads to come into the campsite one of which is a downhill bit which is not good for bikers.. As for things to do the motor museum was excellent and the views of windermere lake 😎 plenty of walks around the land,,need to spend 7 days here next time not 3,self check in was fine just find ya name on the board and go to pitch
