Ik was blij met Very quiet/sleepy campsite, fantastic communal kitchen space and facilities (washing machine, crockery, microwave etc), nice warm shower. Very clean. Safe for the children to run wild. Can only have a few tents/vans as it’s on a slope

Ik was niet blij met Very uneven surface (field previously used for horses). Only 1 toilet and 1 shower (Plans to extend)

Ik was niet blij met Double red lines outside the gate to the farm, post code on website takes you to the bottom of winnats pass, and a really small sign meant we drove past the entrance.

Ik was blij met Setting - lake is nice and can get a short walk all the way around.

Ik was niet blij met Hygiene (or lack of). Not as described. No welcome hut. Shower block is actually a ply wood screen with warm water; however the screen is too high, so children can be seen whilst showering, it’s never been cleaned and was green with algae. Car park looked like a dump with loads of old building materials left all over the place (good for some kids who used it as ramps /kickers for their bikes) Toilets were not clean when we arrived and not cleaned once whilst we were there. No toilet roll, no soap (both ran out on day 2 of 4). Bins/recycling not tidied up once and not fit for purpose. Given the limited number of pitches, this doesn’t seem to be collected regularly. Toilet blocks have been built with incorrect materials (standard ply and CLS) so everything is warped/ falling apart and numerous screws poking through. Sinks, whilst having hot water (assuming no one else is using a tap or flushing the toilet), flow straight on to the ground. Soap suds and all. Not good for the environment. No mention in the description of the constant shotgun fire to scare the birds of neighbouring fields starting at 4am
