Ik was blij met The campsite is in an absolutely beautiful setting, the area and facilities were kept clean and tidy, everyone was friendly, it’s a great spot for climbing Scafell Pike from Seathwaite, I had good 4G with Vodafone, loved that I could bring my dog with me and although I didn’t go to the pub it is only a 4-5 minute walk away so the option was there and I heard good reviews of it.

Ik was niet blij met The showers were warm and were kept clean which is great but travelling with a dog made it a bit difficult to use these as they are a 5 minute walk away so I couldn’t leave him at the site to go, and the car park is £6 to park which isn’t great. I think this is only really a challenge for a solo traveller with a dog, otherwise I can’t see it why it would be an issue. The setting was absolutely stunning but it’s quite far from any shops - I had to drive roughly 25-30 minutes into Keswick each day to top up the ice in my cool box. This wasn’t really a big issue as the drive is so beautiful anyway but just something to be aware of. The van pitches aren’t flat and I almost got stuck trying to drive into one as the ground was quite wet so my wheels were just spinning. They have put down a grippy matting in some areas which definitely helped.
