Ik was blij met What is there not to like!!! Very nice, large, flat camping field. Extra large pitches. Lots to do on site (paddleboarding, canoeing, adventure golf, pitch and putt, football golf, pool, snooker, entertainment in the clubhouse) plus an Italian restaurant and icecream bar. Everything on site very reasonably priced especially the drinks in the club house. Entertainment in club house was great. Staff friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. Nice holiday feeling to the site. Supermarkets a short drive away. Hornsea beach a short drive away. If you see bad reviews about the toilets/showers on the camping field, please read this and don't let them put you off....those toilets are cleaned and fully mopped out several times a day by staff. We personally saw staff cleaning them regularly. If you go in and find a mess, that's only down to mud being trodden in from the field (nothing you can do about that) or people leaving them in a mess. Its really not fair to blame the staff who try so hard to keep on top of them. A mop and bucket is in each toilet/shower plus a bin. If everyone put their rubbish in the bin and mopped up after their shower there would be nothing to complain about!!! Also, some reviewers are saying the showers are cold. However, we had lovely hot showers several times over our 5 night stay. We simply put the shower on full heat and ran the water for a few minutes. Admittedly it took about 3 minutes for the hot to come through but when it did, it was HOT! We ended up turning it down it was that hot! This campsite is brilliant for couples or families. You definitely won't be bored!!!

Ik was blij met 2 lovely fields to choose from. Plenty of room for everyone. Lovely, peaceful site. Dog and family friendly but everyone was very respectful and quiet and there was no disturbing noise at all after 9pm. Toilets very clean and the washing up area and cold fresh water tap were handy too. Great location, only minutes from the motor way. Great place to relax for a weekend or a great base to go out for day trips or exploring near by attractions. We went wild swimming at Horse Shoe Falls (50 mins away) and had a great day. Lots of people paddleboarding there too. You can park your car by your tent too which is always helpful. There is a carbon sale at the site on a Sunday once a month. Tents needs to be packed away by 11am so the field can be used as a car park for visitors. You can keep your car on the site though and visit the cartoon sale if you wish. Worth bearing in mind if staying at the weekend or over weekend and into the week. Maybe ask before booking. The owner is very friendly and helpful with great knowledge of the local area and attractions to visit. No question was too big or small. We also ate out locally at The Partrige pub/restaurant which was amazing. The staff were super friendly and the food was outstanding. We will definitely re-visit Stretton Hall Camping again and recommend it to single campers, couples and families. It's a great site for everyone.

Ik was niet blij met We had quite a few wasps around our tent but that's our fault for not taking anything with us to deal with them! It's part of being in the countryside and out in nature. It was also the hottest day of the year so to be expected but worth bearing in mind if you have kids. Take some spray!

Ik was blij met Immaculate and peaceful campsite set along a river and surrounded by breathtaking countryside. We have visited twice now and will definitely be back again. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We stayed on one of the four small tent pitches by the beer garden right beside the river. It's a beautiful spot and conveniently located close by the toilets, water tap and pub! Larger tents use the field directly across the road. The toilets are composting toilets which are always clean and odour free...and I mean odour free! There is a hand washing sink and larger washing up sink in the toilet shed. This campsite is run with peace and relaxation in mind. No loud music or large parties of people. Just couples, friends and families out to enjoy the beautiful nature on offer and some relaxation. Children (and adults alike!) love the river. It's nice to see people in the shallow water paddling and having fun. There is a ford that you drive across to get into the campsite and many people like to paddle back across once they've unloaded! There are glamping accommodations available and alpacas on site too! Locally there are many stunning walks in the countryside, forests or around reservoirs. We highly recommend Conwy Falls and Forest Park just a shirt drive away. It's absolutely stunning and a lovely couple of hours out for just £2 per person. The food at The Crown Inn is delicious and very reasonably priced. As are the drinks. Coming in a few pounds cheaper for a round than here in Manchester. Food is cooked fresh and can be taken away to your tent. I can't recommend this campsite enough for anyone wanting some peace and relaxation or for families who love the outdoors or for walkers. We love it here and will definitely be returning time and time again.

Ik was blij met EVERYTHING! Such a peaceful and relaxed campsite. Very friendly and welcoming. Not crowded. Plenty of space for everyone. Lots of room between tents so nice and private. Stunning countryside and short walk to pub and shops. Short drive to B&M and Aldi for any camping bits you've forgotten! We also used local driving range which was an 8 minute drive away. On site toilets so clean and ideally situated in corner of camping field. Cold running water but I just took a kettle of hot water to wash my face. Toilet roll, hand soap and paper hand towels provided. There's also a full length mirror in there which I found helpful. Hose pipe and cold water tap by toilet block too. Dogs welcome but kept on leads so you barely know they are there. All you can hear is the birds. Lovely sunny position. Sun in field all day. Can watch the sun rise and sun set. Can park car next to tent which means you can store things in your car to leave extra room in your tent. We have had the most chilled and relaxed weekend and will definitely be returning.
