Van de manager: You are incorrect when you talk about us giving you false information regarding a government ban on BBQ's. We did not state this on our information to guests. We simply said that following advice given by the Caravan & Motorhome Club to members on fire hazards during the heatwave period, we asked guests not to use live flame equipment outside or BBQ's as this posed a significant fire risk during the extreme heatwave conditions. We appreciate that cooking outside is a huge part of the fun and experience of camping/caravanning and you may have missed out on that. However, safety of all our guests, staff and the fact we are surrounded by tinder dry farmland meant we took a measured approach minimising the risk to all.
