Ik was blij met The lake behind

Ik was niet blij met You can not see the castle from the site nor can you see the lake from your pitch. The facilities are clean but old yet tidy. Not enough showers/toilets for the site. If walking to the castle is a busy road with coaches etc so extra care needed. Also the site allow people to stay in normal white vans. There were three the night I stayed. I personally don’t like this as I feel you should be in a motorhome/campervan Or caravan.

Van de manager: Thanks for your review Darren and your observations. Your comments on the facilities have been noted. We are positioned on the side of the Great Lake as our name suggests but the trees which provide a wind break have grown up over the years and they do hide the view for the majority of our guests. The Lakeside walk however does offer a stunning view of Castle Howard. I do need to correct you on the walk to the house and grounds as a designated path, (on the left, parallel to the road) was created two years ago to keep our guests safely away from the traffic.

Ik was blij met The actual site it’s self is nice with a good size pitch. However the bathroom facilities are really poor and old. Some sort of issue with the water too. Glad I had a full tank on the motorhome Upgrade the toilets and this so old be a great little site. Until then I would definitely not return
