Ik was blij met Stayed 3 nights at the Little Island Retreat for a little break to get away from everything. What a place, literally cannot fault anything. You have the retreat and the entire lake to yourself, with Shane and Wayne the lovely ducks to keep you company. You're a field away from the main house so you really do feel totally on your own. We were blessed with sunny weather and it was just so quiet, relaxing and tranquil. We were also allowed to take our kayaks on the lake. The lodge itself is very comfortable with everything you need for cooking on the BBQ and sitting outside on the decking of an evening (blankets, mozzy traps, plates/pans/cutlery), lanterns, a reservoir with plenty of drinking water and a novel compost toilet. 3 minutes walk across the field takes you to the farmyard where you have you're own bathroom/washing up room with electric and hot water etc. We also had a great time playing ping pong and darts in the games room. We will miss Shane and Wayne welcoming us of a morning and chilling out with us in the evenings!
