Ik was blij met Everything! A lovely warm welcome from Fraser pointing out bits and pieces. The pitches are the best I’ve been on, I love the secluded feel, being in the middle of nature and the views are incredible. This was my first solo camping trip and felt totally safe, a range of ages were there when I stayed and no issues at all. Special treats were seeing the bats swooping around, buzzards in the nearby trees, owls having a ‘chat’ at night, hearing the deer calling and waking up to two Pygmy shrews in my tent 😊 oh and the sunsets!! Went for a 7 mile walk following AllTrails parked down the hill by the school not realising the walk passed through the campsite…oops! Was a welcome suprise, needed more fluids with the heat. Note - take a bowl for washing up, there’s no plug for the sink and it will help save water.
