Ik was blij met Little details like mats that we could borrow to keep the dust out of vans/tents, use of the camping kitchen, bathrooms with toilet, sink & shower in the same room - all made the stay extra comfortable. Lovely location between the apple trees. Enjoyed chatting to the friendly owner and his dog.

Ik was blij met Peaceful, no-frills campsite. Good location close to Oxford but still felt wild. Spacious pitches. Hot gas showers.

Ik was niet blij met Signage could have been improved - a chalkboard map was provided but it was difficult to work out how to get across a field to the swimming hole. Photos showed wooden steps into river but couldn’t find these.

Van de manager: Thank you for your comments which are always really appreciated. We will take note of the signage suggestion although we have found in the passed that because the site has a footpath through it the signs don't always last in place very long. The swimming hole across the field is not on our owned land so although the swimming place is on a footpath and therefore accessible for all public we are not entitled to place signage there. The Holt which is on our land is signed and marked on the map too and there is plenty of space to swim there. Thank you for commenting on the photo of the wooden steps - we will contact Pitchup and ask them to remove said photo as this is historic now. The river floods habitually every year and the steps have been washed away on 3 occasions now so we rely on good old fashioned getting in and out. Wishing you all the best.

Ik was blij met Beautiful, peaceful campsite. I stayed in the yurt and I would highly recommend it. Super comfortable and rustic in the nicest possible way. Waking up to the wonderful view is something that I won't forget. Simon was accommodating and friendly. I look forward to coming back with the family at some point.

Ik was blij met Tidy, clean facilities, well organised. I arrived lateish and the campsite had written my pitch details up on a board which made it easy to get settled in. My pitch was well marked with hard standing and gravel, electricity and water right next door.

Ik was niet blij met Road nearby was a bit noisy.

Ik was blij met Brilliant campsite! Good location on the route from Paris to Switzerland. Very reasonable rates for a campsite with a pool and electricity. All pitches shady and well spaced. Lots to do for kids at no extra charge - mini golf (slightly tired but still fun), basketball hoop, ping pong, trampoline and pool with toddler area. Friendly staff. Little friterie which seemed popular, as well as more formal restaurant. Cart selling ice creams, drinks and snacks during the day.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing. Some pitches a bit close to road, but didn’t seem busy. Toilet roll not supplied, so don’t forget to bring your own!

Ik was blij met Great views, easy access to beach, indoor heated pool, games room. Showers clean and never busy. Dog exercising area a nice touch.

Ik was niet blij met Swimming pool times a bit inconvenient. Shower warm but flow could have been a bit stronger.

Ik was blij met Brian, the owner, couldn’t have done more to make sure we had a great stay. On our first day he took the kids to see and feed the baby animals and then we undertook the ‘family challenge’ of climbing the fell behind the campsite, to be rewarded with a free breakfast the following day. On the second day he took us and our inflatable boat upriver so that we could make our way back down. The campsite is large and grassy with lovely views. There are no marked pitches but there was plenty of space. Fires are allowed in fire pits. Brian comes round with wood for sale in the evening. There is a food van doing burgers, bacon butties etc. morning and evening. Toilets are portaloos in each field. They were clean and there was hand sanitiser outside. There are two showers; when we were staying only one was hot. There is no extra charge for showers.
