Excellent facilities.Toilets were easily accessible and clean at all times. Quiet area with little to no noise during the night. The host was friendly and helpful. Fire pit was available for free and the logs and kindling provided on site were good quality, stored correctly and very reasonably priced. Didn't get a chance to try food from the burger menu, but the options were plentiful and sounded delicious.

Lovely warm welcome. Pegs went in seamlessly as no stones in the ground! Toilets and showers were clean. Washing up area under cover and well stocked with essentials. Plenty of parking. Games room was a little tired, but my daughter loved it all the same and I got to pack up in peace.

Nothing, we will be back.

Having to leave and go home

Cosy campsite which was very well equipped with clean facilities. This is a great jumping off spot for loads of activities nearby. My son loved the games room!

Loved the site, warm welcome and clear instructions. Pitches were all flat and well kept. Kids loved the games room and the fact no cars allowed on site meant they could run around and play safely. Both shower and toilet blocks were clean and tidy and had fridges and freezers to use. Would go back in a heart beat and highly recommend!

Myself and my son drove 8 hours to see my daughter (his sister lol) from Durham to Frome and drove during the night to avoid congestion.
We arrived 2 hours before check in time yet were still allowed and welcomed onto the site.
Lovely, flat sheltered pitches, spotlessly clean with emptied bins, fire pits, games room, communal kitchen facilities and hot (yes hot) showers etc.
Been camping for over 50 years as a child and adult and I can honestly say that this is one of the best sites I've stayed on for value etc.
I would recommend this place to any camper if you can do without electric hook up, that seems to be the trend right now for some reason.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed as we will certainly be back 100%

As also a caravan owner, I'd have loved to bring my caravan there

We stayed for one night and thought it was a great site, nice flat pitches, decent showers etc and the owners were lovely.

If you're a light sleeper take some earplugs as there's a busy road 1/2 a mile away and the sound can travel.

The lodge had comfortable beds for all the family, good kitchenette area and comforts of a sofa.

Lovely clean site, friendly owner, fridge access, microwave and kettle were also handy. Beautifully flat which made the whole experience easier and it was lovely having the trolleys to wheel our things from the car, the use of table/benches and the grills to borrow. The kids loved the games room!! Thank you very much!!!

I think someone had left the freezer in a bit of a state after i suspect a coke had exploded. The traffic from the main road is a bit of a shame but you can still hear the birdsong and it didn't stop us sleeping. The positives definitely outweigh these two little things,
