Naturally Cool Glamping

There are lots of gorgeous landscapes to explore around this area – and lots of ways to take them in, including hikes in the Monchique mountains (half an hour’s drive) and horse riding from a local stables (15 minutes). Ask the folk on site to point you towards suitable locations if you fancy getting out for a walk – or head to Donkey Tours (25 minutes), where you can go out for a stroll with a four-legged pal. The local towns are worth a visit too – especially if you set off for Silves (20 minutes) to see the huge castle and other Moorish architecture, or aim for the Old Town in Albufeira (half an hour). Albufeira, of course, also has a stretch of beach and all sorts of activities including watersports and boat trips. Elsewhere along the coast are some stunning beaches including Praia da Falésia (40 minutes) and the hidden Praia da Coelha (35 minutes), accessed through bamboo and olive groves. If the kids want some pool action, a good option is Aqualand Algarve (half an hour).
