Camping Le Bloemstraete

Ik was blij met We stayed here on the night before our ferry home from a holiday in the Netherlands as it’s close to Calais (about 50 mins away).

To start with, the host was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived.

The night we stayed, they offered handmade pizzas, that could be ordered and delivered to your pitch. They were really tasty and great value.

They also have a fresh bread delivery every morning, which you order the evening before and again, they’ll deliver to your pitch. The croissants and pain au chocolat were fresh and perfect.

The campsite itself was lovely. Some static caravans (I assume full time holiday home owners) and then roughly 20 other pitches for tents, small caravans or tentboxes etc. the site is small and quiet, so it gives a community vibe. It has a small park for kids and a multi sports pitch for football or basketball. But again, being a small family run site, everyone was respectful so you don’t get noisy kids running around all the time (including mine).

They have a couple of goats, some chickens and peacocks on site so this also provided something interesting for the kids to look at. My kids particularly liked the goats that are tame enough to stroke (although they mostly just wanted you to feed them weeds).

The pitches are huge.. this was one of the things that attracted us cause we’ve got a massive tent. But we had no trouble fitting the tent, the car and all the other camping stuff needed with plenty of room to spare.

The facilities were well kept. A fairly new toilet / shower block and dishwashing area and it seemed to be well looked after so no issues with cleanliness.

All in all, a great site.. close to Calais, good facilities and lovely hosts. We definitely will be back.

Ik was niet blij met Not a negative of the campsite, but more for the benefit of others in case it helps.. the campsite is situated near farmland. So you do get the occasional cow moo through the night. And also there is a train track not too far away, so you can occasionally hear a train. It didn’t bother me, but my wife mentioned it so thought I’d highlight for others benefit.

Ik was blij met Very friendly welcoming snd helpful host. Full of knowledge of places to visit. Nice pitches, we even got given a choice! Quiet site. Toilets& showers were clean.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing really but if I had to say anything. Maybe a little maintenence on the kids play equipment.

Ik was blij met We loved our stay at Camping Le Bloemstraete! Nicolas and Julie were very friendly and welcoming - a highlight was having croissants delivered to our tent in the morning, and pizzas in the evening!

The facilities were clean, the pitches were spacious (we could fit a couple of small tents next to our car) and the site was lovely.

It was an Ideal location, only a 45-minute drive from the Eurotunnel terminal.

Only a stopover stay but would certainly stay longer to explore the area.
Good, clean facilities.

Ik was blij met Sehr nette Betreiber.
Perfekter kleiner Platz, für uns als Zwischenstopp zur Fähre nach England.
Zum Abendessen konnte unter anderem Pizza geordnet werden, die direkt zum Platz geliefert wird.
Zum Frühstück lagen Baguette und Croissant, wie bestellt am Scheibenwischer.
Toller Service, bei tollem Wetter :)

Ik was blij met Vriendelijk onthaal, de informatie over de streek, faciliteiten, hygiene sanitair, mooie, grote kampplaatsen, voldoende schaduw, services. Top!
