Something a little bit different for your next holiday with the family or a group of pals? It’s an unusual setup for sure at Red Alert Paintball Camping – as the name suggests, this Aube site is all about pitches and paintballing within the same hectare of land, close to the village of Fay-lès-Marcilly. It’s a very peaceful setup here, with pitches on a well-kept lawn surrounded by an orchard of fruit trees. There’s a compost toilet and a firepit for your campfire evenings, and you’ll be able to bring along a gazebo, awning or pup tent to give yourselves plenty of living space for the whole gang (including dogs, who are very welcome to join you for a stay here). There’s plenty of space for everyone, and you’re free to set up in whichever pitch you like the look of. Peaceful it is, of course, until the games get going. Guests are under no obligation to book paintball sessions, but if you’re looking for a fun fresh-air activity this is certainly a good choice. Owner Patrick has over 30 years of running paintball events, and has set this place up to provide a top-quality activity within a lovely outdoor setting. Sessions have to be booked in advance, and can be tailored to your preferences depending on your ages, number of players and other factors. Battles done, you can bring everyone back together with a relaxed cookout at the barbecue area or book in for pizzas cooked in the site’s wood-fired oven. If you’d rather sort your own dinner, you can pick up bits at shops in the local villages or at the supermarket 15 minutes’ drive away in Nogent-sur-Seine.

  • Deze camping beschikt niet over douchevoorzieningen.
  • Minderjarigen (18-) dienen te worden vergezeld door een ouder en/of officiële voogd.
  • Op deze camping zijn hondenrassen/kruisingen die in de 'lijst met hoog-risico honden op agressief gedrag' zijn opgenomen, niet toegestaan (zoals de pitbullterriër, tosa, Argentijnse dog en fila brasileiro). Ook de volgende rassen zijn niet welkom: de staffordshire-bulterriër, Amerikaanse staffordshireterriër, rottweiler en mastiff.
  • Kortingskaarten en cadeaubonnen kunnen niet gebruikt worden bij reserveringen via Pitchup.com.
  • Houd er rekening mee dat de toiletten uniseks zijn.
  • Er is geen receptie ter plaatse: neem bij aankomst contact op met het nummer dat in de reserveringsbevestiging vermeld staat.

A paintball game may be the lynchpin of your stay here, but if you’d like to stretch out your stay a little bit then there are plenty of other activities to try out in the area. You may like to dial down the activity a little with a leisurely rural walk – or perhaps keep the adrenaline going by climbing up to the treetop trails at Jumping Forest Chenoise (half an hour’s drive). Dip into the area’s history by seeking out some of the area’s various dolmen and visiting the troglodyte houses at La Postolle (25 minutes). Rather grander places to visit include Château de La Motte-Tilly (20 minutes) and the regal Château de Fontainebleau (an hour), surrounded by a vast forest. Another nice way to spend a few hours is to take a stroll around Troyes (35 minutes), looking out for Gothic churches and half-timbered houses in its well-preserved medieval centre.
