Anglesey Transport Museum Glamping Holidays

Ik was blij met Stayed in Monty with my son. Money was comfortable and cosy. Had 4 ring gas hob and grill, lighting was adequate. Outside picnic bench. Site was quiet.
10% discount voucher for use in the museum and cafe.
Would definitely stay again.

Ik was blij met Fabulous stay in an old military vehicle, was cool & comfortable with everything you needed + a great view of the mountains from lieing in bed with the rear doors open or sitting drinking coffee at the rear of the vehicle.
Met the owner (didn't get her name) when she came to take the firepits as per government instructions due to concern of wild fires during the heatwave (fair enough) what a lovely lady had a nice chat for a while about all kinds.

Ik was blij met Quiet, clean camp site with a playground for children and plenty of space.
Nice facilities and helpful, friendly staff.
Glamping in a converted truck was fun!

Ik was niet blij met While it wasn’t a problem, and none of us ever had to wait, there was only 1 toilet and only 1 shower for camper use

A hidden gem - no queues for shower etc
Really unusual glamping trucks
Great location for Newborough beach trips
We saw almost the whole island in a weekend

Ik was blij met We stayed in Lady Jess. We loved the quirkiness of the van. It was well equipped and comfortable. The site was well looked after, clean and very peaceful. Theres a small playground which again is well cared for. The cafe does a delicious breakfast and the museum is well worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Ik was niet blij met There is only one shower and toilet (additional toilets when they cafe is open) But that never caused an issue. The only issue we had was the lack of privacy, both doors have patterned windows as you’d normally have in a bathroom but you can see who’s in there. Blinds would have been appreciated. That said it wouldn’t put us off going back.

Ik was blij met Myself, husband and two teenage boys had a great in Lady Jess here at The Transport Museum on Anglesey with a fantastic location and views of Snowdon, plus a short drive to the nearest beach.

Lady Jess the converted “Hippo” truck was quirky and has been lovingly transformed into a wonderful glamping base. She was well equipped, warm enough and a big hit with the boys. We had a very comfortable few nights and the fire pit was a great addition.

Super friendly staff on site, Chris was very knowledgeable on the local area and nothing was too much trouble. There is a lovely on-site café with freshly cooked food, and the transport museum next door was a bonus.

A really memorable stay! We didn’t want to leave — would definitely recommend and return

Ik was niet blij met A few reviews have noted the shower block being away from where the vans are based - We didn’t find this a problem or much unlike many other sites we have stayed in. No one wants a shared toilet block next to your pitch - it was less than a minutes walk away.

Yes, there is only one toilet and separate shower in the current block. This didn’t bother us as the site was quiet but had it been busier there may have been a queue.
Again, this would not stop us returning or recommending the stay to others, please don’t let it put you off.

Ik was blij met Good Location. Enjoyed the Novelty of the accommodation. Felt safe and enjoyed relaxed atmosphere whilst son played at play area in the evenings. Comfy bed and my son loved how dark it was with all the windows shut! .Utensils were good for what we needed for two nights.

Ik was niet blij met Only one toilet and shower for everyone to share so a couple more needed. There was a small mirror in cabinet but one on wall would be good. Small rug next to bed as cold in mornings.

Ik was blij met Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen (more like an Airbnb than something on pitchup), kids’ play area close to the accommodation (you can see them play but it wouldn’t be imposing if you didn’t have children), the green space in the middle of the campsite, the mountain views, the fire pit and bbq were a nice touch. We liked all of it and would return

Ik was niet blij met We didn’t dislike anything but more to guide other people. The steps up to the accommodation could be a problem if you had a smaller toddler than ours (ours was 26 months at time of travel), the one shower/one toilet thing that others mentioned could be a problem for some but I think we waited once and for only like 2 minutes.

Ik was blij met Loved the museum, and our accommodation was brilliant loved staying in the army truck. Food in the cafe was spot on. The owner chris is a lovely guy ,passionate and knows everything there is to know about all items in his museum.

Ik was blij met Great location, not far from the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here, we would recommend to anyone wanting a little peaceful break. Monty was really comfy to stay in.
