When a campsite’s been open since 1928, you know it’s got a lot going for it. And that’s certainly the case at Morfa Farm Holiday Park, five minutes’ drive from the village of Llanrhystud in Ceredigion. For starters, the pitches sit directly on the foreshore in Cardigan Bay, with ‘walk-on’ access to the gentle sloping beach. Secondly, it’s a welcoming, friendly and family-run place, which always keeps guests coming back. Thirdly, it’s got a whole bunch of modern amenities to make your holidays as easy as the sea breeze. Those amenities include a pristine shower block that also incorporates a laundry and dish-washing room, plus a couple of snack machines to keep hunger pangs at bay. There’s a service station with chemical and grey waste disposal and a water tap, and two EV charging points for electric cars. Calor gas bottles can be supplied on site, and a well-stocked garage and local stores in Llanrhystud to keep you topped up with supplies. If you need anything else, please just ask at reception for help. There’s plenty to do on site, with a small play park for the kids. Families can also go rockpooling and barbecuing on the beach at low tide, and fishing on the River Wyre, which forms a natural boundary with the holiday park. There are plenty of places to visit nearby, with Aberaeron a 15-minute drive south of the site and Aberystwyth a 20-minute drive north. Leave the car behind if you wish; bus connections are within 10 minutes' walk of the site.

Ik was blij met Peaceful, amazing views, super clean and modern, lovely people.

Ik was niet blij met Not the caravan parks fault but it was very windy being so close to the sea, brilliant but not so much at night.

Ik was blij met OUTSTANDING! facilities were possibly the best I’ve ever seen, staff were so welcoming. Loved the location and the extras like the dog wash and vending machines.

Ik was niet blij met Not really a dislike but a suggestion…a hairdryer in the ladies would have been fab.

Ik was blij met We went to the wrong ‘Morfa’ campsite first not the site’s fault just mind your satnav doesn’t take you wrong as this seems to be a popular name in this area - very friendly welcome on arrival and good information map - we stayed on serviced hard standing pitches which had lovely view of the sea. Just a shame our cars had to park in front of the vans and not space beside as this obstructed view.
Pitches were good, very difficult to get any awning pegs in make sure you bring a metal mallet luckily we borrowed a neighbour’s - you’ll also need very tough straight pegs.
Great facility block - award winning I can see why - showers on 10 second timer though so forever pushing the button.
Superb kids play area with huge football pitch and goals.
Great little costcutter shop/Texaco garage at bottom of road otherwise Aberystwyth is only 10 mins drive with big Tesco and Morrisons. Tesco gives you 3 hrs free parking perfect for exploring around on foot - definitely have a lool around the old castle ruins and war memorial. Stunning views.
We had a trip out to Devils
bridge seemed to be the most popular attraction- bit overpriced and over hyped in my opinion- we followed up with visit to Hafod National Trust estate which was infinitely more enjoyable and had some fantastic waterfalls and loads of river pools for swimming and playing we spent hours there follow the blue walk totally worth it!
Great stop over on out welsh tour.

Ik was blij met We absolutely love Morfa Farm. It was our 2nd visit, and definitely not our last. We have already shared our find with a friend, and our grandson, who have also taken their tourer caravans. They are of the same opinion as us..a little bit of heaven.
Shane is a asset to the site, when my husband dropped the base of our kettle into a bowl of water, electric went off, and he wasnt sure what to do..Shane to the rescue.

Ik was blij met Everything! Very clean site, facilities were spotless. Staff were helpful and friendly. Fantastic views of the mountains and sea. Lovely Little Rock beach. Kids play area was brilliant. Looking forward to booking again for next year but for 2 weeks. 1 week was just not enough!

Ik was blij met Caravan was extremely clean & comfortable. You were able to see the sea from the door even though it wasn’t the sea view caravan. The site was very pleasant & quiet.

Take the A487 from Aberystwyth towards Aberaeron. Drive through Llanrhystud, turn right at the petrol station and take the left-hand road. Morfa Farm Caravan Park is the last right turn before the beach, down an easily accessible tarmac road with passing spaces.

Outdoors fanatics will find plenty to keep them on their toes hereabouts; Borth (40 minutes’ drive) and New Quay beaches (half an hour) have facilities for all sorts of watersports. However, you don’t even need to leave the park to try out kayaking, windsurfing and paddleboarding from the beach, and there’s a slipway for anyone keen to get out on the waves for a spot of sea fishing for bass, mackerel and lobster. Mountain bikers and walkers can test their fitness on forest trails at Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre (35 minutes), and long-distance hikers can follow the Wales Coast Path, which runs alongside the holiday park. Other mountain-biking trails can be tracked down at Brechfa Forest (an hour) or the Hafod Trails Bike Park (50 minutes). You could also sneak a bit of culture into your holiday itinerary, with a visit to the stately John Nash-built mansion at National Trust-owned Llanerchaeron (20 minutes). The National Wool Museum (45 minutes) is another good bet; housed in a converted woollen mill, interactive displays showcase the importance of the former Welsh textile industry, and there’s a shop where you can pick up handcrafted Welsh wool blankets and shawls.
