Ik was blij met: I love the motorhome pitches as they definitely had the best view. Lovely views of the sea and the costal walk was close by my pitch. The toilets and showers where very clean and it was good to have a hair dryer supplied

Ik was niet zo blij met: I disliked how far away the toilet block was from the pitches, I felt the toilet block was closer to the hard standing lodges that have toilet showers etc inside them rather than being close to the camping, motorhome and touring pitches that don’t tent to have a toilet inside. It was about a 4 minute walk from me, that doesn’t sound to long but as a solo female traveller it was quite scary during the night as there wasn’t any park lighting either. No WiFi on site and I didn’t find the 4g to good

Ik was blij met: Beautiful views. Nice and clean with good facilities. All accommodation is good quality and pitches are a good size. Beware of the cliff edge,. Ipt is a good lace to tour that part of Scotland and Port Patrick is always a treat to visit. Eatery very near to site where we had lasagne and scampi. Site Staff helpful but not intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Ik was blij met: Absolutely beautiful site. Location could not be better, facilities spotless, plenty of fantastic walks around and only half hour walk into Portoatrick. The views are stunning

Ik was blij met: Fantastic view from pitch. Facilities clean. Nice walk via coastal path into Portpatrick.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Pitch very far from level. Facilities very small for size of site and a distance from the touring pitches. No recycling facilities. No Wifi and phone signal poor

Ik was blij met: Gorgeous views, dog friendly, access on-site to the coastal path into Portpatrick (20 minutes walk), generally clean site (apart from a couple of very large, unsightly areas next to the touring pitches where on-site rubble, pallets etc have been dumped - can’t understand this as the rest of the site is immaculate), very friendly, great toilet & shower facilities. Accepts groups.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Exposed field at edge of the cliff meant it was difficult to pitch, cook & socialise when it was windy. 200 yards further into the site was far more comfortable weather wise, but the tent & van pitches are very exposed. Be warned, it’s also very hard ground and basic tent pegs for awnings etc won’t do. Zero recycling facilities, only large industrial bins.

Ik was blij met: Front line pitch with great views of the Castle and see. Great toilet/shower facilities. Access to coastal walk and Portpatrick. Great walking

Ik was blij met: 5/5 fantastic site with beautiful views and a short walk from Portpatrick. Very friendly staff and clean facilities.

Ik was blij met: John gave us a very warm welcome. Campsite was gorgeous and clean with good facilities, short walk away from lovely Portpatrick village. Would return.

Ik was blij met: Views were exquisite. Staff very friendly. Beautiful part of the country.
Town within walking distance.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Felt like the pitches were on the small side. You could here your neighbours conversations.
Rubbish dump to the rear of pitches full of old wood.
It would have been nice to have some grass next to your pitch to sit out on.
Elsan was a hole in the ground next to static vans instead of near the touring pitches.
