Ik was blij met Great site! Totally chilled site, warm welcome from Nick on arrival. Large mowed pitches in the meadow that you can choose for yourself give a sense of seclusion. Clean and well maintained compost toilets and hot showers. Ample general rubbish and recycling disposal bins and clean water taps. Great location, great walks, pubs near by. Cannot fault this place. Thanks for having us!!

Ik was blij met Great little campsite in rural Timsbury , near Bath. Lovely friendly owner Nick, who always comes up and says hello and welcomes you. Beautiful to sit back and relax watching the Red Kites above and the abundance of Butterflies. It was our second visit this weekend just gone , but will definitely be booking again very soon.

Ik was blij met Lovely quiet relaxed site, great facilities, really good communication over booking and arrivals.

Ik was blij met The pitches were large and spacious. You can choose your pitch and park next to it.The location was convenient for our plans to visit Longleat and Stourhead which were both brilliant.
The field is very close to Timsbury village rather than rural but you wouldn't know this while in the camping field. Its convenient for the shop and pub in the village. We had rain one evening so ate in the pub which was not fancy but perfectly nice food and good value.

Ik was niet blij met We have used dozens of compost loos in our time so they dont bother us at all, but as we were there the last 3 days of season the waste had built up very high to the loo seat which was unpleasant.
The first night of our stay our Fire pit leg broke and we felt the cost of hire for a fire pit was steep at £20 so we had our fire in our bbq ( only 1 night until ours was fixed), it was well raised off the ground but not large or out of control, we have camped for many years and would never abuse our surroundings. We were surprised to get a visit from the camp owner who didn't approach us politely to say he was worried about the long grass(it had been raining all day!), he bought a bucket of water for us in case it got out of control! We already had a 10 litre water canister for safety filled i might add. As four adults in our late 40s with a 9 year old child I felt like we were spoken to like teenagers. This was disappointing and we wouldn't return to the camp site again because of this.

Ik was blij met Loves Hill Camping was like arriving into a mini festival of sorts… in that the vibe was relaxed there were beautiful compost toilets and a lovely wooden structure for the showers and for the sink/wash-up set up.

The people on reception were warm, friendly and welcoming and it was great being able to figure out which plot to stay in rather than be told where to go.

Each plot was carved out into the long grass giving ample seclusion and privacy.
And each plot could take around three or four separate guests at a time so it only felt like you were sharing your space with a few people/families.

There was the added extra of coffee and breakfast being served which I didn’t get to try but looked and smelt amazing!
There was plenty of water taps and bins dotted around the campsite.
Oh, the fire pits were brilliant as well. They were old washing machine drums which give out a brilliant heat and has inspired me to buy one of my own! (Someone else did the making).

It had the feeling of being in France with the old stone barn and fields of long grass in our outlook.
We’ll be back!

Ik was blij met Really enjoyed our 1 night stay - fully booked but you wouldn’t know it - very chilled atmosphere! Friendly welcome and lovely family who rub the site. Compost loos clean and easy to use. Nice views, heard owls in the night! Extra bonus they were serving delicious breakfast baps and fresh coffee in the morning.

Ik was blij met Lovely location, the field was peaceful and the long grass sections made it feel more private. The hosts were fantastic, lovely and helpful. I’d made a mistake with the booking and they were happy to help. Lovely hot showers, optional cold showers too. We had a very yummy breakfast bap in the morning that were being sold from a converted horse box. Lovely place and people, would definitely come back.

Ik was blij met Wonderfully clean and fully attended at all times by the owners. A great cafe in the mornings for breakfast is a lovely little luxury. Hosts were lovely people too.

Ik was niet blij met The email saying they wasn't sure about fires. I didnt take my bbq as from the email it seemed it wasn't allowed but everyone else had fires and bbqs ??
