Whitemead Caravan Park

Ik was blij met The Site was lovely, the showers were hot with great pressure, the toilets and laundry room were spotless ! The cleanest camp site we have used. The Ship Inn was just over the Railway bridge with great food .. 10% discount for staying @ Whitemead! We would use this campsite again.

Ik was blij met Fantastic campsite, very friendly and helpful. Close to a great pub with good food. This site has the cleanest toilet and shower block I’ve even seen at a campsite. A+ from me.

Ik was blij met Facilities kept very clean, pitches well maintained. Friendly and helpful team. Quiet (Sept mid week) Nice dog walk from site, easy stroll into Wool and great public transport links.

Ik was blij met We’ve just had a stay at Whitemead Caravan Park in Wool, Dorset, and we were really impressed.
The site is fantastic — very clean, very well looked after and you can see the amount of care that goes into it. It’s not just the initial set-up; there is clearly a lot of pride taken in the daily upkeep, cleaning and general presentation of the whole site.
The staff were friendly and very welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were shown to our pitch, which was a lovely touch and made the arrival very straightforward.
The toilets and showers were absolutely immaculate. They were clearly cleaned and maintained to a very high standard, and throughout the site there is a real sense that cleanliness and presentation are taken seriously.
There’s a mixture of grass and gravel pitches. Personally, I have a preference, but it’s good to have the choice, and the pitches and surrounding areas are very well maintained.
For dog owners, there’s a field down a track where you can exercise your dog, which is a really useful facility and means you don’t have to go far from the site for a decent bit of exercise.
The location is another big plus. The Ship Inn is only about a five-minute walk from the entrance to the site. You simply cross the road, walk over the footbridge and you’re practically in the pub car park. We found it to be a great pub and restaurant — very convenient after a day out.
Another thing that really stood out to us was the signage. It has clearly been thought about and is superbly composed and kept tidy around the site. It’s informative and provides all the necessary safety information without making the site look cluttered.
Overall, you can see that a huge amount of thought, effort and pride goes into running Whitemead. It’s the attention to detail and the daily care that really makes a difference.
A genuinely lovely, well-maintained and welcoming site. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Thank you for your review we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the facilities to be good and clean.
Whilst you say the cleaning took too long, we do ensure this is done once a day to a high standard which does take approximately an hour and checked at other times through the day too. We cant unfortunately start this later in the day as we do need to be free for our guest check in process which starts at 1pm, our staff also do need to have time to have a lunch break too, we hope this gives you a clearer understanding of how our cleaning times work.
