Swaying towards North Devon for its sandy shores? Swept just three miles away from Woolacombe Beach, Higher Willingcott Farm Campsite is a family-run and family-friendly working farm site 10 minutes’ drive away from the watersports and surfing haven down on the shore, with more sandy spots just 15 minutes’ drive away. Space and countryside views are quite the tasty concoction at this 50-acre place, so there’s lots of room to relax and make the most of your break away. Facilities are quite basic – that includes portable toilets and a dishwashing area so that you can sort out your leftover bits after a barbecue (handily, there are bins and recycling to help with this too). With Woolacombe village five minutes' drive away, restaurants, pubs, pasty shops and fish and chip shops for a takeaway are easy to get to. Whether it’s a full-on meal or a light bite you’re after, you’ll be right beside the beach – so it’s a good spot for sunset meals or after-dinner walks. You may be looking for a site where your dog can join you for walks and the likes, as Morte Point and Bull Point walk are around 10 minutes’ drive away from here. Happily, well-behaved dogs are welcome, as long as they’re on leads at all times and dog waste is picked up.
