A South Hams site with sea views… that alone may well be enough to set you off towards Glebe Farm Camping, but if you need a little extra incentive how about the fact that its position on the edge of Stoke Fleming means that you can walk to the local pub, wine bar, takeaway and village shop in five minutes? (Or the launderette if you’ve had a mishap…) This fab little Devon spot is quite the place if you’re after coastal adventures – you can stroll from here to Blackpool Sands beach in about 20 minutes, or pick up the South West Coast Path for a hike to Dartmouth, passing the castle as you go (and then hailing a bus for the return leg if you like). Other top spots like Slapton Sands and Strete are within a 10-minute drive too, and it’s a half-hour drive to Salcombe. Back at the farm, it’s a peaceful and laidback setup, with alpacas, cows and sheep for company and drinking water, portable toilets and a cold-water shower on the facilities front. Indoor and outdoor (heated) swimming pools are five minutes’ drive away in Dartmouth if you feel the need to be immersed in warmer water.
