Ik was blij met Lovely pod, excellent facilities. The park is fantastic, the animals were lovely, bathrooms spotless every time we went in and really spacious. The dish washer is a great bonus! The staff were lovely and helpful. It’s a well-run and maintained site and clearly they’ve invested in it. Location is great.

Ik was niet blij met I paid for WiFi but sadly it just wasn’t very good. It’s nice to have this for the kids to watch things on an evening after a day climbing the mountains! Don’t mind paying extra but it should work properly.

Ik was blij met I highly recommend Hillcroft from the bottom of my heart. Everything was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and well maintained. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and always willing to help. We had a fantastic stay and truly enjoyed every moment. We will definitely be coming back!

Ik was blij met Quite large site, but pretty quiet. Clean facilities, pretty new showers and what i found it funny and quite nice, bird chirping sounds in toilets and showers, amazing playground for kids. Good location near Ullswater. Cabin was simple, clean and easy to find. There were wending machines of some snacks.

Ik was blij met Everything - friendly & helpful team from checking in to checking out -
Great location - for hikers, walkers, cyclists & families or pottering and chillaxing
I found some amazing walks direct from the site so didnt have to drive anywhere
Beautifully maintained site with amazing bathroom/shower facilities-
Dog friendly-
Didn’t use it personally but children’s playground and recreation field looked very inviting-
Breakfast buttie van & freshly made pizzas
Currently trying to book next stay but fully booked on dates I am able to go but maybe later in the year - I will return - so many walks still to do

Ik was niet blij met Nothing - as a solo traveller - the camping pod was fabulous but maybe the option to hire an adult camp bed - albeit supply own linen
Some guest were quite loud in the early hours of the morning but I accept it’s their time away and they are relaxing

Ik was blij met Clean, 5 mins walk to pooley bridge, 20 min walk to Ullswater, toilet and shower facilities amazing. We loved it

Ik was blij met Everything. This is a beautiful site which is spotlessly clean and has amazing toilet facilities. There is a brilliant play park for children of all ages All staff were very friendly. Lots of walks around and you can easily walk into pooley bridge.

Ik was blij met EVERYTHING!

The staff were incredibly friendly from all departments. Welcoming, facilities, breakfast van, shop.

The location - PERFECT! A 5 minute stroll to Pooley and 10 minute to the waters edge

The facilities - clean!!! The welfare in particular were really good

The park and grassed areas for playing - epic

The camping pod - lush! A very simple and fun way to camp, private decking area which was nice and secure for the dog

They had vending machines - dog shower - free ice block freezing - giant chess!

For hikers - super close to a number of amazing hikes, in fact Askham was right behind you by about 1.5 miles.

A brilliant site for families
