Off to the Yorkshire Dales to delve down into caves or to venture up into the Yorkshire Three Peaks? Whether it’s caverns, waterfall trails or the mountains that have drawn you to this area, Falls Park makes a quiet and spacious dog-friendly base in a handy spot a mile from Ingleton and 10 minutes’ drive away from White Scar Cave and 20 minutes from Kirkby Lonsdale (a historic market town with the medieval Devil’s Bridge). From here you’ll be off to see waterfalls in no time, as the site has access to the nearly five-mile Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a long-established and popular trail that's all about the sublime scenery. Please note that access to the Waterfalls Trail is an additional cost for customers. On top of that, the site itself has views of a limestone valley and Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks and a prime spot for a challenging hike between the summits. Peaceful’s the vibe here, as that’s how the site has been planned and designed, so you’ll be all ready to unwind with the scenic Yorkshire Dales landscape surrounding you. Facilities include a chemical toilet disposal point, drinking water points, washing-up room, wifi and an amenities block with a male, female and disabled toilet and shower. With Ingleton village within walking distance (an hour and 10 minutes’ walk away or 10 minutes’ drive), powering up before your next outing is easily done, thanks to its food shops, restaurants, tearooms and pubs. Please note there is a steep single-track road to access the site, which is very narrow. Whilst there are occasional passing places on the lane, this site is only suitable for campervans and motorhomes.

  • Voertuigen met tandemas zijn niet toegestaan op deze camping.
  • Auto's/motoren zijn niet toegestaan op de staplaats/bij de accommodatie. Deze moeten worden geparkeerd op de daarvoor bestemde plekken.
  • Commerciële voertuigen (voertuigen die gebruikt worden voor werk en/of het vervoeren van goederen of betalende passagiers) en voertuigen met reclameboodschappen zijn verboden op het terrein.
  • Minstens één lid van het gezelschap dient 18 of ouder te zijn.
  • Onderkomens die langer zijn dan 8m meter, zijn niet toegestaan.
  • Dit is een rustige plek: muziek is strikt verboden.
  • Het wordt gasten geadviseerd om een zaklantaarn van goede kwaliteit mee te nemen, omdat delen van het terrein onverlicht zijn.
  • Indien de receptie bij aankomst gesloten is: neem contact op met het nummer dat in de reserveringsbevestiging vermeld staat.
  • Bij droog, winderig en/of heet weer zijn vuren, barbecues en vuurkorven niet toegestaan.
  • Het opladen van elektrische voertuigen is niet toegestaan op het terrein.
  • The key fob deposit required on arrival can only be paid in cash. Roof tents must be booked onto a campervan pitch.

We loved the small site with only 12 pitches
Site was on the Ingleton Waterfall trail which was beautiful and breathtaking
Small cafe on site and very helpful staff at reception.
Clean site, well maintained with young trees planted which will improve the site and help block the incredible winds which blow down the valley
Toilet block was modern and clean and had what we needed

Ik was niet zo blij met: Just one minor dislike, the toilet block is quite a walk from the pitches, great if you are young and fit…..not so good if you have disabilities!

Ik was blij met: Stunning location!! You get out of your van and the views are jaw-dropping. The site will never get too crowded. Very pleasant and helpful owner. Toilet/shower and wash sink block is spotless and very modern. Looks brand new (Probably because it still is!!)

Approach is via quite narrow single track road. Will stress out some drivers, particularly if your vehicle is quite large, but to be fair, you are pre-warned about this

Ik was blij met: Quiet. Only 12 pitches. Well maintained grounds. Litter free. Toilet and wash up facilities modern and beautifully clean. Easy access to the Ingleton Falls Trail. Friendly welcome from site manager. Keen to ensure we had a good experience. We didn’t use the cafe area but it looked really busy. Saw lots of birds. Enjoyed watching the kestrel.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Didn't realise it was quite so near the working quarry. Early morning blasting sent clouds of dust into the air carried by the wind. Not a complaint as such - not something in the control of the site.

Excellent facilities, very clean & tidy. What a beautiful corner of the country, we are already planning on returning when we get some rain to showcase the Ingleton waterfalls.

Ik was blij met: Loved everything about this camp site. Facilities were great. Couldn't fault the toilet/shower block and washroom. Absolutely spotless! Location was fab. Views were stunning. We didn't use our car once!

Ik was niet zo blij met: Would be great if the reception stocked some household essentials as there are no shops unless popping into Ingleton.
There are no power points on site. Be prepared to air dry your hair. Signal is weak so be prepared to be phone free.

So where should you set your compass to first? There are impressive scenes all around, from guided tours around the longest show cave in Britain, White Scar Cave (10 minutes’ drive) to the mighty 104-foot-high Ribblehead Viaduct (15 minutes) with its 24 arches towering over the moorlands. The threads of nature run strong here too and that’s evident from Gisburn Forest (40 minutes), where walking, cycling and mountain biking trails are just some of the ways to snake through the treetops and spy on skulking wildlife. There’s a nature trail over at Ingleborough Cave (20 minutes) too – but of course cave walks are where the action’s really at. Up towards the sky instead, the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (half an hour) might already be the quest you have in mind, but if not, perhaps you’ll want to give the 24-mile route over Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent a go while you’re here. For an easier day out, take a hike around Malham Cove (40 minutes) or stroll around Skipton (45 minutes), a market town with lots of places to eat, as well as a traditional town hall, castle, museum and gallery.
