Farm yourself and the family out to Whitehall Farm for a north Norfolk that’s well set for both countryside and coast. This scenic site is within the grounds of Holkham Estate, about a mile from the village of Burnham Thorpe – a proper rural location that's also only a couple of miles from the north Norfolk coast. Settling down in this spot means you’ll be well placed for walks – either on local rural trails or along the Norfolk Coastal Path, which runs for 45 miles from Hunstanton to Cromer. The Broads National Park is about an hour's drive away too, for more walks plus boating and watersports in scenic surroundings. Closer to home are the wonderful Holkham Hall, some cute seaside towns and some fabulous sandy beaches, along with the smart village of Burnham Market – five minutes' drive away and a great place to find pubs, cafés, restaurants and independent food shops (including a farm shop, a baker and a butcher for your barbecue supplies). Back on site, you'll be staying in a spacious grass meadow with access to handy facilities including toilets, showers and a kitchen area with microwave, fridge and freezer. In peak season you’ll be able to buy baps and coffees for an easy breakfast too.

Deze camping biedt ruime plaatsen, schone faciliteiten en een fijne bar/café. Gasten prijzen het vriendelijke personeel, het landelijke landschap en de vele wilde dieren. Er waren meldingen over hondencontrole en beschikbaarheid warm water voor afwas, die echter verbeterd zouden zijn. Elektriciteit is extra. Goede uitvalsbasis voor kustverkenning.

Ik was blij met Location was fantastic. Campsite layout was brilliant. Plenty of space for everyone. A massive barn houses the toilets, showers and kitchen area. Plenty of hot water, no doubt supplied by the 80 or so solar panels on the roof. Fire pits are allowed. No road noise from traffic. Very accommodating hosts. They really have tried very hard to make this work and is a great example of how to run a campsite. Clean and tidy.

Ik was niet blij met Nothing really.
Maybe add some shelves or something in the shower pods, just so that we can get our clobber off the floor. During hot summers....not a problem but on rainy days (which might not be 2026) ...more so.

With regards to the toilets and showers, these are all individual shower/toilet blocks and are all lockable.

With regards to electric, we find this the fairest way of doing this as some guests only use very little and some use a lot and this way you pay for what you use which most guests prefer.

Ik was blij met Clean toilet block, excellent facilities (fridges/showers), spacious pitches where we could park car next to the tent, nice FE breakfast and small bar within easy journey to north shore beaches

Ik was blij met Quiet site. Great facilities. Didn’t have to queue for the shower at any time. I was especially grateful for the kettle as we stayed on a cold night. My 9 year old loved seeing the horses.

Lokale bezienswaardigheden

At the centre of the Holkham Estate is Holkham Hall (10 minutes’ drive), a Palladian mansion with a museum, walled gardens, marble hall and parrot room; the estate surrounding the hall leads on to Holkham National Nature Reserve and the white sands of Holkham beach (where Gwyneth Paltrow had a wander at the end of Shakespeare in Love). Turning right from the beach and walking along the sands for a couple of miles is a very scenic way to reach the seaside port of Wells-next-the-Sea (otherwise 10 minutes’ drive), known for its colourful beach huts and popular with kids crabbing from the quay. Cromer (45 minutes) is another popular seaside town, with several museums and a Victorian pier. Blakeney (20 minutes) is another hotspot, for its seal-spotting boat trips. Other ideas for outings include the pilgrim village of Walsingham (10 minutes), the royal residence Sandringham Estate (25 minutes), the National Trust's Felbrigg Hall, Gardens & Estate (45 minutes) and the family-friendly BeWILDerwood Norfolk (an hour). Norwich and the Broads National Park are also about an hour away.
